I think Smudge may have a Capristo for sale as he's changing his RS imminently, so might be worth speaking with him if you're after paying less than RRP ?

I know it's a B7 but:

Late to the party on this one chaps, but my JCWF system on the B7 is, like Mike, RIV and Ross to that extent mentions the best B7 system out there. John and Michael know their Zorst Kung Fu and Mark is a man of his word. Boff, you will not regret it. The JCWF B7 to B8 void isn't that large a leap for them.

Any development on a B8 system up against the proven parties is a non contest; the quality of system now the boys have their CNC bending machine and their quality of welds and choice steel will be one if the not the best fabricated system out there.

I had an email from Doug the night mine went in to MRC for Stage 2, about 16 months ago saying 'he's never heard a B7 system like it'.

Adam and the rest of the master/tech's yesterday at Jack Barclay Wandsworth (new rear SS+ springs fitted) whilst have heard mine before, couldn't believe the sound. You wont regret it, Boff. Certainly for the dollar.

This half way down and on: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=114920&start=45

Video in my signature or here: http://youtu.be/y_k0VJ2--y8

Where are you Boff. May be able to arrange a PAX ride...

BUT... having had the milltek on the B7, when I explained to those guys (JCFW) that I wanted 'deafen the neighbouring postcodes on valves open' and 'funeral procession quiet' when closed (something the milltek couldn't do) they didn't shy away from it. Like most people, I want loud and quiet - when I want it only though. Typical!

I'll let you know what they say on Thursday once they've seen it - I'm sure they'll be able to do something amazing, but for me on my car, I'm somewhat budget constrained right now due to house improvements so... I might not be the first unless they can do some magic on the cheap. We'll see :)
I can vouch for the valve closed/open - it is indeed quiet and loud when you want it. But valves open from the 'gate' isn't deafening. At 4k revs + the note changes IMMENSELY. By then you are well in to another space continium and away from 'attention'...

That sounds immense! Any ideas what sort of money are JCWF charging to make these for B8?

They don't make them for the B8 yet, but I would imagine it will be similar money to the B7. I'm there tomorrow for them to have a look at it on the ramp and see what's what - I'd imagine after that they'll be able to price it up :)

It does sound good but does it meet the brief...the latter yes...the former no :)

"my brief is that it needs to be quiet with kids in; and ridiculous when they are not in it"

It meets both those...

Visited this evening. Cracking guys.
System is substantially different to the b7 rs4 - routed differently and cats/secondary cats are in different places etc.
It's looking like it might be a go-er but we'll talk again tomorrow before committing.

I asked for "sports exhaust" quiet when valves closed, and tubi rumore loud when open (but with class, not the harshness of the tubi) - they think they can do it and if they can, it'll be the holy grail.

Good work Ross. I knew the build would be very differentas I noticed the new RSs don't habe the symmetry that the B7 exhaust has but I expect the sound to be very similar unless you ask for something different of course.
