What's the required load rating per axle on the B7 RS4? GF F1 255 30 19r is only 94Y... innit?
No matter where you go, there you are.

There is no advantage for going with 265. It is wider and higher than OEM whereas 255 is perfect size. 265 won't noticably change the grip level, nor will it make it look 'phatter'. It will make the profile higher and I think we all agree lower profile looks better. I think there are a better choice of tyres in 255 too (no eagle F1s, just ask the B8 boys as this is the OEM size for the B8 20s). Actually, the only advantage I can think of is as it has a higher profile it might make the ride for comfortable for those who moan the ride is too harsh etc. So if you are over 60 and have achy bones then the 265 is for you (or put 15" wheels with even bigger profiles), otherwise stick to 255.

its too late. the 265's were purchased. i'm not 65 yet though sometime i feel like it.

if they rub then i'm shafted and will look to swap and get shot of 265s. i'm hoping that with standard suspension i'll get away with it.

someone here mentioned removing a small screw from the top of each inner wheel arch liner.

I ran 265s on lowered suspension and RS5 allows so effectiely a 3mm spacers with no problems.
If you want to lower AND use spacers (or use lower offset wheels) AND use 265s then you will have trouble.
