Front brake pads recommendations please
Need to do my front pads, don't need anything major, no track days, but decent OE spec at reasonable price. Any recommendations and where from for good deal?
Thanks

Stoke Audi for OE pads.
ECP for cardboard pads.

Thanks mate, ECP do Pagid OE spec (specifies OE supplier for Rs6) for £60, wonder if these are the same as Audi would supply??Shoppinit wrote:Stoke Audi for OE pads.

They are definitely not.
They will work, but are made of cardboard and little girls' wishes.

Here you go:
http://www.mister-auto.co.uk/en/brake-p ... B1507.html
£40 plus 15% off with BRAKE15 code. 5% quidco, too. They're practically free.
And they won't be any worse than the ECP pagid ones.
You could put these on and tell the new owner to put whatever pads he wants on. Depends on how he'll use the car.
Mmm, that's not very enthusiast-oriented of me is it?

I'm not selling it....
May try to find ds2500s for a decent price, what's everyone else using?

Dunno why I thought you were selling it. Must have confused you with someone else.
DS2500 are OK. I suspect that OE pads from Stoke Audi or TPS will be your cheapest option for quality pads.

Re: Front brake pads recommendations please
For what it's worth, After quite a lot of looking around a couple of months ago I found Stoke Audi to be the cheapest for the quality pads.
PREVIOUS: Black Audi B6 S4 Avant. Custom exhaust (sounded amazing). Otherwise standard and near perfect.
PRESENT: Muggy '53 RS6 loon. MTM Stage2. KW3s. 100 cells. Milltek.

Re: Front brake pads recommendations please
Ds2500's for me, but they are race pads and can squeal at certain temperatures I've found. That said they are outstanding if you ever get on a track!
I've heard good things about the propper OEM pads though so if you have no interest in going nuts then that's probably the best option.
