PiperCross or K&N air filters.. Which is better for my c5 RS6?

The point of the 4th pic was to show how the gauze has cut into the foam by about 5mm as if the foam was slowly being sucked through it.
PREVIOUS: Black Audi B6 S4 Avant. Custom exhaust (sounded amazing). Otherwise standard and near perfect.
PRESENT: Muggy '53 RS6 loon. MTM Stage2. KW3s. 100 cells. Milltek.

Hmm, similar to my pipercross one that fell apart. :( I'll have to check my mrc/itg filters are ok.

Maybe these are consumables.

I've never heard of any gains to be had by using non-oem filters on the C5. The restrictions are hot-side.
