The big quandry
The big quandry
Loving this car
Learning it is hard work; and the information from all the systems gets in the way; so just for fun I thought I'd run a poll that shows my current situation.
Problem is; you can't explore it all the time - so I find myself in this place where I start to enjoy the Stereo (which is awesome - for an ex raver!); then confused by the need to concentrate on the drivetrain.
Tonight I've decided that you can;t do both....
Gents the poll!

Zero Drama
Re: The big quandry
For me there is a 3rd option (albeit in my B7 with an aftermarket stereo set-up);
The stereo brings me pleasure when I'm sitting in traffic or moving slowly, the V8 brings me pleasure when giving it some. So my answer is both, but not at the same time, each has a time and a place.
The exception to that rule is when the sun is shining and the windows come down then the summer tunes gets blasted out!

Love the V8 back seats down to help reduce the sound deadening often forget about the music unless the wife is in the car then she puts it on

It has to be the V8, I can listen to music on by B&O indoors!

Re: The big quandry
The "Boff" has some great thoughts. I especially like his car, but also a thinking man.
But hey, with our car selection we must surely all be that to some degree.
I digress. Voted ... But ...
Sometimes I like sunroof open, music loud and all car settings on max, including the right foot, with the missus grinning beside me.
Other times just the car.
Other times, just sunroof and B&O.
Other times ... Hmmmm ... Sunroof closed, late at night, long trip, suspension on comfort, gears and exhaust on "attack" and B&O blasting out Tubular Bells, with the missus asleep beside me as we do the last half hour of our 5 hour run to the beach house. Magic.
To me it's just like sometimes wanting Led Zep, other times Cat Stevens, but never ever Donny Osmond.

Re: The big quandry
Update
PROBLEM
So there I was ... Saturday morning dropped the missus off to pick up her car after new tyres and I'm driving home.
Middle of winter, not a cloud in the sky, mid morning, 19 deg C .... Sunroof wide open, car system set to max attack and a bit of Acker Dacker on the B&O
So with Hells Bells wound to 25+ and pulled away from the lights at light speed, just like a true knob with music blaring ... And ... It seemed like somebody had done a motor transplant and inserted a Polo 1.4 l donk. Boy, with music going at that level etc etc the sensory perception of pick up from the lights just wasn't there. Note to self .... Need 160km/h on windy road to start to pucker sphincter muscles.
Ok ... 1st World problem.

Re: The big quandry
That's very true. I generally have a bike in and out of my car, so I never put the parcel shelf in, so you get a better sound coming throughBrooner wrote:Love the V8 back seats down to help reduce the sound deadening often forget about the music unless the wife is in the car then she puts it on
