C6 RS6 for sale - 09 plate - also winter tyres

Hi all,

I'm selling my 2009 RS6 Avant, in Monza Silver, currently on 51,000 miles.

I bought it as an approved used Audi about 16 months ago, and its been faultless. Both mechanically and cosmetically its in excellent condition, and only covered a few thousand miles since I've owned it. Hence the reason for sale. I had it serviced at Audi just last week, and it has an excellent spec:

- Solar sunroof
- Adaptive cruise control
- Twin pane and UV insulating glass
- Advanced key
- Audi parking system advanced
- Voice control system
- Roll-up sunscreens, rear and rear side
- Homelink garage door system
- Reversible mat for luggage compartment
- Privacy glass

Like I say it was serviced on the 12th June at Southend Audi, and has FASH of course.

When I bought it, it came on winter tyres, one of which needed replacing, but instead I had the dealer fit 4 new summer tyres. So these have only covered about 3000 miles, and I can provide the 3 winter tyres by separate negotiation.

I'm asking £28,250 now. (PRICE originally £29450)

Any comments on pricing please PM me as I'm not an active forum member these days, and its a little hard to know where to pitch it. It's been up a couple of weeks and so far the only inquiries have been one muppet who forgot to leave a number, and a car broker offering to put it up on his forecourt for £32k!

Thank you. I've got an M3 on the way (new style), and I can't justify keeping both given the low mileage I do.

Over the weekend I had 2 more calls from dealers, both outright cash sales this time. Given the prices they're offering, it'll be up for £30k+ on their forecourt, and there is absolutely zero prep work needed for this car. I guess that most people use finance at this price point though.

Did you renew the approved used warranty?

Sorry, no, the warranty has expired and they didn't write to me to extend it for some reason, and hence I forgot until it was too late. At first this didn't bother me because its quite expensive and given the low miles I do (and mostly as family transport so the car rarely gets driven hard) I didn't need that safety net. But now I'm selling I regret not chasing it up at the time

yeah it's a tough call isn't it. On the one hand you want to think positive and save £1k, on the other hand you're scared of putting your foot down for fear of having to re-mortgage the house!

Can't you just buy the warranty again from Mondial even though it lapsed?

I just tried, and they "can't offer one for this model". In any event I would rather sell the car as-is, and if the buyer wants to put a warranty on it then its their choice.

I've had one serious private inquiry, who I believe really wants the car but has had to pull out for unexpected and understandable reasons, but weekly calls from the same group of dealers desperate to put it on SOR.

Would anyone mind commenting on the price - I'm quite happy to hear it, is it just a case of be patient or am I asking too much?

I've been looking for around a month now, seen about half a dozen so far (some good and bad) and, this maybe a bit controversial to say, I think for that mileage and condition I think it's priced a little low and you should be patient. I think the Dealers £32k price is closer to what I'd expect to see so at £3k less is an absolute deal!

What brand / condition are the winters?

Price wise, I don't think your miles off, I paid £28,600 for my early 2009 (58 plate) last month, with a similar spec and 46k miles from a non franchise dealer.

I was a cash buyer, but like you say I don't think we come up that often, but it looks like a good car at a reasonable price point.
