He'll be lucky if he doesn't get a short jail sentence for that too.

By way of comparison, there was a bloke up our way who was caught doing 156mph in an E46 M3 years back. He got 5 months inside and a 4 year ban.

Aye that guy caught beside Forfar in the m3 was a macallister and think that is still the highest recorded caught speed in Scotland

Hmmmmmm, I know some of us do in excess of that even.. I guess it's easy to forget the consequences of getting caught.

That article is written by a moron. So much crap. I especially liked the bit saying unless you're Lewis Hamilton you couldn't use the full breaking potential of the car (because of gforces and shiz)

I wonder what the suggested braking distances were based on.

Yeah, that's 425 yards they said it would take to stop... I've stopped from 125mph in a bit over 100 yards so their estimate is complete bollocks too.

...unless he had brakes as bad as mine were originally! Still haven't got the stains out of the leather!

More to the point, at the bottom of that article, why is Ray Winstone being arrested for flogging a horse?!

Consequences of mechanical failure also.

Once upon a time I had a bonnet catch fail spectacularly at ~NSLx2 on a dual carriageway. Was in the slip stream behind another vehicle but once I pulled out, bang, blind, brake.

I will remember that event until the day I kick the bucket
