Bluetooth music options?
Re: Bluetooth music options?
My phone connects to several Bluetooth devices simultaneously. That way I can use my earpiece and stream music without having to switch between sources.

Re: Bluetooth music options?
So if you are listening to streamed music and a call comes via OEM bluetooth, this should work? Appreciate this is a C5 section, so not sure bluetooth phone prep was an option, but in principle 'should' it work?
Re: Bluetooth music options?
From what I recall, yes it worked. BTW: The pain of the Audi c6 is that it has fiber optics for the audio.
Re: Bluetooth music options?
Ok, can someone tell me where the Kufatec cable (33338) plugs in please. Ive had the cd changer and tv tuner out but I cant see anywhere for the blue multiway flat connector to plug in.
Do I need to look deeper into the realms of the belly of the beast?
cheers

Re: Bluetooth music options?
You need to disassemble the fat connector that goes into the tuner and the Kufatec slots into that.

When you unplug the 54 pin connector you slide out one third of it and insert your new part into where it came from.

Re: Bluetooth music options?
So I spend some time trying to resolve the noise issues on the Aukey. I hate noise in ICE installations.
If you're going to use an Aukey in the car then you need to make sure you've eliminated all ground loop issues or it'll sound awful. I ended up putting a 47 Ohm resistor in series on the +5V to the Aukey and grounded it directly at the car stereo. I reckon I got rid of 95% of the noise so it's tolerable now. You can only hear noise if you mute the input and whack the volume up full.

Oh great, I'm so glad you resolved that eventually, I always drive around like that.Shoppinit wrote:I reckon I got rid of 95% of the noise so it's tolerable now. You can only hear noise if you mute the input and whack the volume up full.
No matter where you go, there you are.
Re: Bluetooth music options?
OK, I've sorted out the wiring etc and the Aukey works fine buts its a pain in the backside routing the Aukey to the front of the car so you can control the music from the knob.
I've decided to ditch the RNS-E system and go with an aftermarket head unit which has everything already built in.

Re: Bluetooth music options?
So I've decided that the Aukey BR-C3 is not usable as is. Despite what I said previously, the noise is too intrusive.
I will try using a ground loop isolator to see if that improves things, but it's all starting to be a lot of faff.
Maybe the M3 is a (electrically) noisy car. Has anyone tried it on the RS6?
