Update: RS6 Avant now filling gap in the drive

Post by pDkALO » Thu May 21, 2015 6:41 am

It's been nearly a year since I sold my mint B7 RS4 and boy do I miss it, so I've decided that it's time to come back into the fold, but this time do it properly with an extra couple of cylinders and a few turbos, so it's RS6 time

Not too fussed about colour tbh, but it needs to be an Avant, ideally stock, with solid history and coming from a caring owner. Sunroof would be nice but that's about it

So I'd be interested to hear from anyone looking to sell in the near future - I'm located in Kent

Cheers everyone

Mine will be for sale end of June or thereabouts.

Late 2008 registered phantom black avant, 44k on it (will rise a little as is used occasionally). Sunroof, advanced key, factory privacy glass, etc. Full Audi service history, new front brakes and tyres (Pilot Super Sports) all round within last 2k miles.
Mapped by MRC to stage 2 - 1000+nm and 700+ps. Once you've driven a 700+ car, standard RS6's feel weak. No other mods except Trups is currently working on my headlights to add the extra inner light and provide the night-time illumination the RS6 so badly needs when pressing on.

It's immaculate inside of course.

Fault wise, it has some road rash on the front (not bad, but enough to notice on close inspection), and a small scuff/dink (5p sized) on the passenger rear wheel arch.

It's wanted for nothing in my ownership and was well maintained previously. Still under Audi Extended Warranty until August.

If it sounds like the sort of car you're interested in, drop me a PM and we'll chat. :)

Ross

"might handle a bit better". :biggrin3:

I did miss the thrust on the test drive of course - but the whole feel of the car is what I'm missing from the B7 (and I can't take a step backwards into a B7).

My RS6 is a fantastic car in every way - except the way I've decided I want. People warned me before getting into the RS6 "it's no track car" and I was completely fine with that. Really thought I wouldn't miss it. But having done one trip to the #'ring already this year, I do. I'd have been again by now normally, but I'm not taking the RS6 because it's pointless. I'm a minute slower in the RS6. What does that say?

The RS6 is friggin' mega for motorway luxury, and dual carrageway demolition of everything else. I've never been over taken when in a hurry. Ever. But... It's just not for me. Not the car's fault!

That's sounds exactly the issue! I couldn't sell my 996 because the rs6 simply doesn't engage enough...

Maybe I'll test a b8!

Sorry to the OP that we've taken over the thread!

In other news, I've decided not to get trups to add the inner light now as it won't add to the cars value so he's just refurbishing them to remove stone chips and clean them up. :)

Will be 100% for sale by the end of June :)

No way......still a barge.

Get a R8 V10 and be done if you don't need the space otherwise stick to a C6 and don't whinge. :biggrin3:
Too much power is barely enough.

Still a barge relative to an R8, but with a sat nav you can plumb a full post code into, plenty of creature comforts and a car that has moved the game into another county from C6.
