How very dare you, Sam - Rab's vest is a positive 'tight weave' compared to the history of certain traders pontifications... :biggrin2:

This from same guy,

or how does the oil cooler and aux rad look, i said if you leave it at idle till its hot( approx 20 mins)or after a fast run, and watch to see any steam come out near passenger side front then its a sign of it leaking. :piss:

cue ten mins later e mail back saying i've just done that and their is no steam.Lol
then telling me the bolster is fine and inflates fully and its only fat people that have broken theirs,

telling me not to buy a 06 or 56 plate as they had a major software problem and most of them have internal engine problems, he was in hindsight entirely hoping i never had a clue. :jump:

way to sell a car fella!!

You try give them the benefit of the doubt, yet they still manage to dig themselves a hole

Just to give you a laugh, here is the email initially received.

This RS4 has been my personal car and when looking to buy, I spent nearly 6 months researching and going to viewings. Eventually I found this example which has all the 'must-have' optional extras, in arguably the best colour scheme and complete with in my opinion the completely essential full main dealer service history. Even if you end up purchasing another RS4,
I would recommend staying away from '06' or '56' models - although they look the same, they had serious software problems when they were new which has resulted in many of them being
damaged. By 2007, Audi's RS division had smoothed out these faults; This, being a '57' reg is the newest available B7 RS4 so you are safe in the knowledge that this has no software faults and has not required any software updates from Audi - its just been good from day 1.

Brakes:
Yes, these B7 RS4's do get through brakes when driven aggressively - I might add that I am not an aggressive driver and the previous owner Simon, who I actually know, is not either (Rich guy and this was his 3rd car).
Front brake discs are circa 15% worn
Front brake pads are circa 50% worn
Rear brake discs are circa 15% worn
Rear pads are circa 25% worn
We would suggest that you will be able to get the last from the current pads, and go through a complete set of replacement pads once more before having to replace both the discs and pads.

Dash board:
If im honest, I have not bothered changing the date on the dash for the entire time I have owned it - not sure where it gets that date from though! I will update the date and then update the photograph on the adverts.
With regards to the mileage, the exact current mileage is 91029 as per original photograph and description.

Seats:
It is common for the seat bolsters to collapse. This has not happened to this RS4 and they work perfectly with the 'S' button on the steering wheel. From what ive read, they only collapse when the owner is overweight or has had the settings way too tight.

I've not changed any fonts etc, that's how I got it!! For it being the previous owners 3 rd car, he put some miles in.

when i viewed my car originally i was told by the dealer it was a 4 litre turbo haha. i corrected him but when i picked up the car he said "yeah just a little tip, dont forget to let the turbos cool down after driving it"

was almost enough to completely put me off but luckily it has been a solid car.

WTF.

Yeah, Tesla learnt well from the RS 'division' and now employ over-the-air software updates just like the 2007 B7 RS4...

Personally, my RS4 just needed a Firmware patch and all the Carbon disappeared, it pulled 420BHP exactly and the wear on the bolsters vaporised overnight.

Sorted.

Innit.

Thanks Rich. You certainly did help. Taking a look at yours confirmed the RS4 was the right car for me. From that point on, it was a case of balancing spec, history, mileage, price and attitude of the seller, then just getting on with it. A long trip to Glasgow was more than worth it. I've got the added benefit of the work done by the previous owner Mark, which means it's actually way better than I expected. Really, really hard to drive slowly as the boom from the Milltek makes you drop it down a gear, which the means you just wanna boot it and hear that V8.

Cheers,
Bryan

Glad to see your enjoying the car.
Happy to buy her back if you change you mind, I'm depressed driving around in my van at the moment, 7 weeks is a long time to wait on the new wheels.
I mailed you over the carbon clean pics yesterday, still waiting for roadrunner to send me a copy receipt for the milltek. :blackrs4:

That's the good thing about living so far away from you Mark - I don't have to worry about you turning up at my door asking for it back!

Booking in for some detailing in a couple of weeks. Looking to get rid of those fine swirl marks as they show up more on a black car than most other colours. The spending begins....
