Lambda Sensors guide - id and locations

Post by theperm » Sun Mar 29, 2015 7:25 pm

I've searched the forum here and the internet and not really found anything about the Vagcom identification and the location of the lambda sensors, how many is there etc.. is there a guide or posting somewhere that details these. I have an error on one lambda sensor 008599 - Oxygen Lambda Sensor B2 S1 Signal too low (Lean), going to try replacing it with a new one.

Im sure someone will confirm, but I think B2 is Bank 2 and S1 is sensor 1. So its the upper lambda sensor on bank 2. Bank 2 is the right hank bank as viewed standing in front of the car with the bonnet up.
There are 4 lambdas, 2 on each bank, one just after the end of the runners, and the other just before the second cat.
