Although women in their 40's have 'experience' and do that thing with their tongue that an RS4 just can't do...

Yeah Sam, I know - but Briggy, unless he has 30K for the Imola or eternity to wait, may not find what he's looking for and frankly as you know, Kev's has wanted for nothing and the whole milage things is rather academic when one like this has been well cared for...

Understood and half agree, to some people mileage really does matter though. I'm in the late 50's with my own one now and contemplating selling it this year.

I think they will remain to be strong in all honesty, there's nothing similar with the 4wd, N/A V8, Manual gearbox formula.

I hope you are right! Do you just fancy a change then? I've considered selling but there's not really anything under about 35k that I'd prefer to move to.

Agree Sam - all of this. 4WD, V8 NA, 4 doors, excellent spec with the right mix of 'toys' and I'm genuinely struggling, without spending an alarming amount to see a comparable...

Not really, love mine to bits. I'm just doing more mileage now and thinking that it's criminal to put them onto my car. Like you, it's hard to think what could replace the hole it leaves behind if I was to part with it.

I've been through this analysis and look at it like this....

Buy a new car: Take a massive financial hit with new purchase cost, and the biggie...dealing with the huge depreciation on your investment. Plus, finding something I like as much as my RS4? Exceedingly difficult for me.

Keep the RS4 and Drive it: Sure, you may encounter some large repair bills from time to time, but car ownership costs you either way. I'd rather reinvest in my RS4, than lose the money via depreciation (the RS4 is depreciating at a much slower rate than a new car and I do think the price will hit a certain mark and not go any lower). At least I get something back for my money when I reinvest in my RS4. And, there is not another car that really interests me anyway. I'm going to drive the RS4 for many years to come. I plan on putting 200,000+ miles on her. Enjoy life while you can. Life is too short to drive a boring car or worry about putting miles on a car.
