I love how people get so cut up about "haters". It's like they actually believe haters have the power to kill a project like this, like posts on a forum could actually stop someone picking up a spanner. If this project fails it won't be because what was posted on that forum... I don't think the OP will be taking anyone's advice from AZ. It's just words on a screen that have zero pull over anything in the 'real world'. The Internet is Never-Never Land, why is everyone so serious?

...next up - how the Internet demonised people offering opinion by relabling them all naysayers.

Dull.
No matter where you go, there you are.

Ha ha but what it does stop is the OP keeping us updated! I want to see this but not enough to fly to where ever the hell he is and live in his garage!

I know it won't stop him, I just want the read what he is doing and see the photos but I have to read through all the crap to get to it, it gets boring after a while listening to the same tripe.

It would be great as the OP to be able to bunch all of their own comments together on the first page where it would give you the ability to just follow the progress instead of like you say, 10 pages of bull before you find snippets of progress.

I joined az just for that thread. You're right nothing much happening. I'm starting to feel a little let down by op.

Rocket powered would be cool though!

The guys over on AZ are pretty much a bunch of wankers looking at most of what gets posted - and that thread highlights it...

The guys doing what many others (MRC included) thought was impossible and every single post he makes they tear him apart - why he keeps posting is beyond me. I'd just be like "ok guys, <beep> you all" then post the finished article 5-6 months later with a gazillion horsepower and all the data to back it up.

Poor bastard - English isn't even his first language yet he has to field all manner of insults and back handed sarcastic comments from people with half the technical knowledge as him all in their armchairs thinking they know better.

But forums are open to everyone, including people sat in armchairs, why are you so surprised? That what happens when you post stuff on the Interwebz, it's available for the whole Interwebz to comment upon.
