Flat track bully though, 991tts goes around corners. The S8 is a right wallowly fat bastard, I drove that around Millbrook, poor bloke in the back did not have a wafting comfortable ride.

Testing shows it drops into 6th gear at 197mph and I don't know if it'll pull beyond that in 6th at that power. Pulls hard in 5th gear to the redline but the shift into 6th kills it.

Either needs more revs, a longer 5th, a shorter 6th, or a sh1tload more power. 21" wheels might help too.

Forgive my earlier doubts - all well and good proving it on paper but having tried it now i can see your reasons.

Need to talk to Doug about solutions.

To get North of 200mph (through the beams) you'd need closer to 800bhp &/or another 100nm. Or (& i don't advise this at Brunters or you'll have a very unhappy ending), about another 3/4 of a mile.

At those kind of speeds the gearing & aerodynamics play the biggest part & unless Doug has altered your final gearings, this will be your largest inhibitor.

I can't make the one in March but hope to be there in May.

You will need another 150rpm in 5th to try and do it without going into 6th. And have the wind on your side. And full length at be inters. They shortened it for the last event. The s4 I did 200mph went better slammed to the ground and with mirrors off!

We can do a special box map and will need to make sure it's safe revving that high and that it still makes decent power there.
