Went black/titanium optics on my Sprint Blue 'Loon!

Where did you get the paintwork done Coldo? I'm looking to sort the front wings out on my sprint blue avant.

I understand it can be a pain to match so am wary of taking it anywhere without a good recommendation.

I got it done at a local bodyshop with a good reputation - Simons Autobody, Irvine, Ayrshire - 01294222966

Could have maybe got it done cheaper elsewhere but Simon is clearly into his cars and actually owns a sprint blue B7 Avant! (non RS). Also has an old E30 BMW and a show winning Corrado VR6 as well as painting proper 'scene' cars for alot of those that are into that around this area. Highly reccomended.

I'm in Ayrshire too and I'm on the lookout for a good bodyshop. I've had a few recommendations but I'm always a bit nervous when it comes to colour matching. I might give them a call.

Yep, they have my reccomendation, tell them Colin with the B7 RS4 (me!) put you onto them - sure simon would be happy to see your car and have a chat about what's possible with regards to colour matching.

Thanks for the recommendation. Picked up my car from Simon last night. I haven't seen it in the sunshine (or the dry!) yet but first impressions are positive.

Both front wings were just starting to bubble and I'd had water in the boot of my avant causing some rusting. The finish in the boot is as good as the exterior will little touches like extra sealing around welds.

Simon clearly takes pride in his work and takes time to speak to the customer.

Hopefully that's it for a while now as I've had an expensive 6 months - DRC hard pipes, 2 shocks with 2 flexi pipes, oil cooler, front pads, service, aux rad etc etc. Time for some fun now with luck.

Glad to hear it! I've yet to hear a bad word about his work and I found him very reasonably priced too.

Your car should be tip top now with all that done, enjoy!
