Audi S3 + Nitro = 365 PS

Post by S3rdias » Sun Mar 27, 2005 2:31 am

"The legendary in Greece Audi S3 Nitro with 365 Ps is one of Stratis Autosport "children".

Achieving 0-100 km/h in 6,15 sec without Nos and 5,4 with Nos his owner can stand on the side of most supercar.

Audi S3 Nitro is based on a 2002 model with a BAM engine of 225Ps. The first improvement changed its horse power to 287,4PS / 5,904rpm and it's torque at 38,3kgm / 4.105 rpm, without the use of ZEX.

When nitro is used S3 becomes a totally diferent car. It's horse power reaches 364,2Ps and it's torque from 38kgm goes up to 55,5Kgm/4.430rpm.

The Audi was part of a test for Greek Power Techniques magazine where it impressed everybody with its power and stability. The tests at Power labs showed the following:

Maximum horse power : 287,4 Ps / 5.904rpm Ν.Α
364,2 Ps / 4.105rpm Νos
Maximum torque : 38,3 kgm / 4.105rpm
55,5 kgm / 4.340rpm Nos
PS/ ltr : 214,23 Nos
Compression : 9:1
Maximum Speed : 275+ km/h
Acceleration
0 - 60 km / h 3,2'' ( turbo )
2,45'' Nos
0 - 100 km / h 6,15'' ( turbo )
5,4'' Nos
0 - 160 km / h 15,27'' ( turbo )
13,2'' Nos
100m from stop 5,53'' ( turbo )
5,66'' Nos
200m from stop 9,16'' ( turbo )
8,72'' Nos
400m from stop 13,94'' ( turbo )
12,78'' Nos
80 - 110 km/h, 3rd gear 2,92'' ( turbo )
2,8'' Nos
100-150 km/h , 4th gear 4,37'' ( turbo )
3,98'' Nos
100-150 km/h, 5th gear 6,92'' ( turbo )
5,68'' Nos

All tests where done with 2 persons in the car and a half full gas tank

The writer of the article said about the car :

- " In the way to Thebe we saw 275+km/h, and if there were some metres more road Labros would easily turn the speedometer around. I have to say that even with 260 + km/h, S3 was nailed to the road and was simply dominating the highway"

- "S3 perfomance put the road on fire, punishing many "Fast and Furious" creations while allowing you to carry 5 persons across long distances."

You describe as it is, cause this S3 is now mine. I'm cousin of Lampros and those days of presentation the car was already in my hands.
The times were a bit better and by mistake they issue what you previously wrote.
0- 100 km/h between 5.75 and 5.9 secs without Nitro and 5.0 with Nitro.
Thanks for posting the presentation
George

Full stock internals for the moment.
One of the previus Stratisautosport's S3 was running 450 hp and 430Nm torque (GT2840 turbo) for almost 2 years without any problem.
For sure a set of forge pistons and rods it's a complete solution for a such a project.
Now as we speak my peak power without ZEX is 313 hp and 408 hp with ZEX. The car is running for almost 18 months without any problem.
I have post a dyno in one of my previous post
