Jay,

i'm not surprised the dealed didn't know, that p/n is actually for an an A5 as there was no official space saver for the RS4 (afaik) probably because there is nowhere to store it in the car due to the postion of the battery. It was after doing research on here & other forums at the time that i discovered the A5 version fits, which i confirmed myself when i got mine. As i say it won't clear the front brakes so if you have a front puncture you need to swap a good rear onto the front & fit the SS on the rear.

cheers,
Dave.

I keep meaning to see how the Q5 one sizes up on the RS4, it's one of those new types where the tyre folds out to be much wider than a traditional space saver types.

If I get time tomorrow then I'll report back.

The system looks like the one in this video:

Sepang Blue B8 RS4, MY14, All option packs, B&O, Adv Key, Adapt Cruise, Pan Roof, Akrapovic Titanium Exhaust, + more.
Previous - Sprint Blue B7 RS4 Avant, Ceramics, Sunroof, SS+, Buckets, FBSW, Bluetooth, 2010+ RNSe
Previous - Phantom Black B7 RS4 Avant, Black Optics, Titan pack, SS+, Buckets, FBSW

They're not really that new, had them on 911s over 25 years ago, it's the only way Porsche could get a spare wheel in the front boot.
