I've got HHA on my current car, and not used it once in the 7k miles I've now covered
In fact, can't even remember why i specced it - Possibly as it was only £70 or so and might come in useful one day

hmmm i've got the convenience pack on mine - but the HHA doesn't stay on.

Is there an MMI setting or anything else I need to do to enable that?

Strange!

Hmmm thinking about it, maybe I have to switch HHA on and then press the set button on the convenience pack buttons on the drivers door to store it??

That would be logical as it would store it for each key along with the seat and mirror settings.

Update

I am quite astonished by the apathy of not only the Audi main dealers but the online brokers as to my interest in purchasing a new RS4

I have made in quite clear that am seriously considering purchasing one. I have no part x and I have a £12k deposit to go onto the deal

I am still, after 3 days waiting for call backs from a number of Audi main dealers regarding any proposed deals. Amazing for a £60k purchase!

I won't chase the Dealers. If they want to sell me a car, they can contact me back. Not even a courtesy call! & sometimes the motor trade as a whole wonders why it has a bad name!

Soooo after already wasting too much time on the 'RS4 scenario' as my wife calls it, I'm sticking with my S3 saloon

Thanks for all the input folks. Its all been appreciated

You need to find the right dealer.
My experience was the same as you report, especially bad in some of the big Flagship dealers like West London Audi who never bothered to return my calls, despite 2 from me to them as a general inquiry. Bristol Audi were also terrible, Stafford Audi (sorry I know they Sponsor this forum) never returned calls except with a lady that called me 3 times to ask me if I could complete her satisfaction survey!

I highly recommend Hitchin Audi (Steve Lee or Christian). Smaller dealer that gave me a great deal and great service. You can give them my name (Ed Miller) and they will certainly do their best to help you :-)

Unfortunately, the reality of it is that if you're talking maximum available discounts (ie matching Carwow, broadspeed etc), then the dealer's making barely enough to cover their admin on it and the sales guys time
Couple that with the fact you're travelling to buy the car, then the dealer can't even up sell servicing or subsequent warranty work, so for these guys, you're not an earner for them had that's all they're really interested in

I've had equally bad experience with mercedese and bmw dealers in the past, so it's not Audi unique
Porsche on the other hand, in my experience, are very good with welcoming and communications and they mist get a big number of no-sales too

This. 100%.

The harsh reality is that once all the discounts are taken into consideration they are left with c0.5-1% profit (my dealer made 0.5%, which he showed me the paperwork for because I didn't quite believe him), on a car they won't see again to service. The only thing he can hope for is I go back to him to trade in when my PCP ends in 2yrs time. With that in mind it goes back to the original point I made of being in the right place at the right time and you have to take the emotion out of it.

For example, the dealer I bought mine from had the car close to the point where if it wasn't sold they lost their 'new stock sales' target bonus on it, which also meant they would have had to register it as a demo, which is a lose lose for them. On top of that it was end of year in the quietest week where sales had been slow. All that meant he was willing to do a deal to hit targets. But even then, that was only after I pushed and pushed and pushed over a period of a few days.

FWIW my experience was that all the dealers I contacted across the country rang me back, even if it was to say they couldn't/wouldn't match.

Agreed on Hitchin - superb service from them through my S4 ownership - I wouldn't take any future Audis anywhere else.

The time around Christmas leading up to new year? My auntie and uncle bought the Saturday after Boxing Day, signed a deal at 5pm as the dealership were about to kick them out. Interesting they all called you back - obviously hungry for the few customers who were calling this time of year!

I think they will make more than the 0.5%- 1% overall. There will be other targets of bonus's triggered by selling the required mix of cars etc that will contribute to the overall delaership profitability. The actual selling price minus cost price is not were the story ends with a dealership's profitability. They even have bonuses paid on customer satisfaction which is wht Audi are constantly and obsessively calling and emailing for specific feedback.

All I can say is thanks goodness there are a few good customers left in the world that will go into the dealership and pay the full whack :jump_clap:

Tried it just now - put HHA on and saved the settings use the SET key on the door.

turned the car off and then on again - HHA remains off.

I'll get the Audi tech to take a look when i take it in in a few weeks time
