Nice job on the box RS2, I ended up having a very long lunch break reading through this thread. Oops!
Yep I've got the stuff to polish up lights, might give it a go today.. Did plan on polishing my bike also?? Dilemmas ;)

Thanks for comments, I still think the pic makes it look mint then it is though!! Lol..

Like I said it's getting there... Slow & steady wins the race & also saves the Mrs from telling me how much money I'm spend on Bluey:)

I've just had the fluid changed in my gearbox and am having some "issues". I think that it feels like a low fluid situation. The guys say it's done to spec, however the car is arse down quite a lot and so could that make a difference? As the car should sit level would it be wise to measure ground to wheel arch front and back and jack accordingly?

Just stick a spirit level on the door sill and jack it up until it's level when filling the gearbox oil.

So long as the fluid level is topped up when the car is level, it can't be wrong. Driving around with a washing machine in the boot wouldn't make your gearbox slip.

If you're having problems with the gearbox slipping, I'd be pulling the sump off and changing the filter (check the length of the filter neck as in the earlier posts) and refill with fresh oil.

If this doesn't fix it, it's gearbox rebuild time.

I'm still in awe that you fixed that box! What's up with this one? Another box rebuild?

Actually just seen your other post
