Should be having a good look at this thread. Surprised he's not to be honest as his R8 vw could be mental with this lot on board.
An R8V8T doesn't interest him in the slightest, he's running his in RWD, wouldn't be very drivable.

I must've missed that (but please forgive me ((that thread fab)) iterpretation sometimes tough) if only running rwd, must be loads of weight savings.
? Why not stick with awd and fit two turbos instead of two cylinders.

Rs4 and r8 engines might both be 4.2 v8's but they are different. I'm all for someone trying new things, all you've got to do is look at my previous and current builds. My honest opinion is this will flop badly and you'll suffer engine issues. If it was me I'd be having a set of custom rods made pistons should be cool at 700hp

AFAIK the B6/B7 S4 was never FSI, it was a 5 valve per cylinder indirect injection engine right to the end of the B7 production run.

Havent read this for a while and am only on page three,

But I am curious to some of the replies....

The picture of the car with the turbos at the rear....why would that be a GTR ?? when it already has plenty of space, plumbing and so on for the OE twin turbos in the engine bay........its very obviously a Corvette.

Secondly why would they suck in unfiltered air ??.............you can see the inlet has hardpipes, so presumably if you bother doing that then you are gonna route them somewhere and stick filters on the end of them, its pretty obvious !!

Thirdly...........Supras are a straight six and have half the engine bay for turbo's, so I dont know which builds people have been seeing with turbos UNDER the engine or behind the front bumper but you must be on crack to think that "most builds" are like what this guy is suggesting

Lastly - whats the big deal - its not that difficult to relocate stuff if you want to actually do a one off.............doing it to then be commercially viable as a conversion package would be more of a challenge and dealing with the heat will likely be after the conversion is done and things start to melt or get hot, but that is still something that can be planned for with some forethought.

I hope this happens, but agree its all a bit random

If you can make it fit with large enough intakes and good cooling, it will work and it will be big power - lots more than the supercharged cars.

We could not do it without cutting chassis, so it would be a one off and its not something we could take on as it is so time consuming.

Our R8 V8T power in an RS4 would be a lot more usable as the R8 is a proper handful and with the Quattro and front heavy you will get the power down better and easier to drive faster.

Good luck - I hope it workls and looking forward to some helpers to see how we do it in the future as im sure we will
