That's turbo not turbo S.....

Bothered about gen 1 or 2? Latter was quite a big step forward.

Assume you don't need back seats? Much much more of a compromise in a cab.

Before I bought the RS4 I ran a 996 turbo then a 997 C2 (PDK Gen 2). If I were you I'd test drive a 997 C2S or GTS and a turbo back to back and see what you prefer. I preferred the RWD C2 to the turbo I had and the 997 C2 with sport chrono+ gives similar pace from 30-70mph as the 996 turbo (I know the 997 turbo is faster still than the 996). The issue I had after 4 yr of ownership was that the turbo was just so capable that it was boring to drive on the road. The RWD C2 on the other hand was probably the best car I've owned and I only sold it for the RS4 as I needed more space for the family. The steering on the RWD 997 is just perfect and what I loved about it was loading up the fronts for a corner then exiting with the foot on the floor - the turbo is on rails but becomes boring over time.

If looking at C2S, I'd be looking at 991s.

This is my problem!! Practicality, might sell RIV and get the porker only to regret it, my trouble is the mrs's car is an A45 not the biggest motor! Having got 2 kids

Same predicament, hence sniffing around Macan so we've got a family motor when I eventually get into a 911. Whilst you can go four up, with kids in the back, in a 911, you wouldn't want to do that to say the south of France!
