After that its a set of KW springs and wheels, shortly followed by new discs, pads fluid etc before custom exhaust and gearbox.

Getting there slowly....
Andy, you're gonna find the stage-2 slow now that you have been in mine lol... :bigblink:
David I think most things feel slow compared to yours! However everyone knows loons are faster than avants :assflash:

Lol Andy.. you crack me up... YES you arrived at the house and the meet a bit sooner than I did so for that, I will give you. haha. :biggrin3:

In all honesty, MRC's stage 2 with the gearbox map is more than enough for most owners but sadly you and I are not in that category.
Too much power is barely enough.

Update:

So im off to MRC for stage 2 remap, gearbox remap and pre-cat delete.

So, any one want to guess what the MTM 730 map will 'actually' produce? Looking at someone else on here im going with 650bhp max.

Do you know how much the pre cat delete should give you and how much it costs? Also how much noise it will add? Really interested to see your before and after results.

I can give you a real update tomorrow :)

Next step for engine will be 3" downpipes and full system from Demand, but that will also be followed by Ricky's gearbox upgrades and I really want to lower the car and add different wheels first, just the damn kids keep hampering my plans! lol

Andy,

I'm really interested to see the before and after figures. I'll go for 650 before and with Doug's expertise, stage 2, gearbox remap and cat delete, maybe 740+ afterwards?

Look on the bright side, the lower the initial figure the quicker the journey home will be!! ; )

Keep us posted.

So aMt MRC,

The MTM 730 produced a simply massive 660bhp and 800NM so again fell short like Kit's car.

Doug has said it running sweet though so let the work begin :D

Cool good luck, really interested in what the cat gutting gives you and how loud it is as I'd like more power but not more noise (strange around here I know ;))

Does anyone 'get' MTM? I mean their prices are exorbitant and they don't seem to deliver the goods????

Take the the C6 turbo package on their website for example. It is just crazily priced - some 37.000 Euros (incl. fitting) for turbos, exhaust and software and it only makes 811HP and 925NM as MTM claim. In reality it is probably not far off a Stage 2 from MRC for a tenth of the cost!!!

Like I say, I don't get it  :|

They are factory affiliated and warrantied in Germany....so it's probably a better quality tune and probably safer to maintain warranty hence lower numbers

Is this actually true? They give their own warranty yes but if you took your 37,000 euro c6 mtm conersion to audi with a popped engine would audi cover it (assuming an audi warranty in place) because mtm did the conversion?

It seems a helluva premium to pay for an mtm warranty whatever that is and that still doesn't justify mtms claimed outputs not nearly hitting the mark. If I paid 10k euro for 730 ps I don't expect 660, even taking into account dyno differences and all that nonsense. Didn't an mtm c6 on here not make anywhere near the stated power on QSTs dyno anyway?

So the final result was 753 and 1052nm. Graph attached.

So a quick review, precast delete does give it more noise when you booting it, especially above 5k but I'd say no different at 70-80mph on the motorway.

The most noticeable difference after the power hike is he gearbox map, Erving to near on 7k makes it feel monstrous.

The precast and the stage 2 and gearbox has made it feel less restricted than before and pulls hard for what feels like an age longer than before. Makes it feel massively different and Doug commented on how the car has a great collation between pedal position and boost, making it smoother as opposed to on/off etc. The sound now up top has lost the boomynes and now sounds more v10 esc.

Overall chuffed to bits as feels like a new car and the service from Doug is second to none.

Audi will just wave goodbye if you want any warranty work done and its engine related with a map. I had to get mine checked to make sure it wasn't mapped a few weeks ago before they would even consider taking the issue any further
