Lol

I have owned quicker and more capable cars the a remapped C6 so I beg to differ.

I want a fun family car, I do like the RS6 hence the thread, but will also be equally happy with the M5.

Ha. This probably is the wrong place to be saying a BM is the better car but in my eyes, the driving experience and quality of the interior is better on the M5 than the C6.

There's no denying the C6 is an awesome car but if you want an involved driving experience, the M5 wins. And if you want to go sideways, the M5 wins but in a straight line the C6 will win.

Best you buy a M5 if you rate it so highly.
Too much power is barely enough.

I had an E60 M5 for about 8 months. Found it nice but to be fair a little dull. I'm currently in a B7 RS4 but am planning a move to a C6 once the wife signs off on it (hopefully about 6 months). I have been smitten since Brett took me out in his first one some time back.
The M5 was fast but to me it looked a little too much like the lesser models. Call me vain but I like my range topper to look like one, twin exhausts and a grill on each wing just didn't cut it for me. I'd also argue that whilst going sideways sounds fun its almost never safe or practical on the road. Quattro however makes fast fun and safe (within reason) and in almost all weathers. Round tight twistys in the M5 my Dad in his 3.0 bi tdi C7 sat right on my arse!!

:blackrs4: all the way for me
