WTB C6 RS6

Post by ant1 » Fri Oct 10, 2014 3:09 pm

After a C6 RS6

Budget is 23k which is obviously on the lower end of the scale but I see a fair few traders offering good examples for 25k so hopefully possible.

Based in salisbury and ready to buy when the right car appears :-)

Jeez, if hate to think what a 23k RS6 will look like. I'd reckon on a bill following the day after purchase for another 23k.

Audi are still asking circa 30k.

Pick wisely, otherwise you'll get a lemon.

Yer I'd be factoring in more £28k for a cheapish one.

3x traders are selling good examples with 70-80k on the clock for 25k.

One of those is Audi with extended warranty put into the equation.

Just having a go before I tempt fate and use the same money for a M5 Touring.

Need to check their history and have a drive to know they are good examples....

I have ;-)

And after owning 2x C5 RS6s I know more than the average.

Didn't you move to a Merc? How was it?

I test drove an E61 M5 a couple of days ago and was so happy to be back in a more modern interior and a far more comfortable ride but there is something about the C5 that just keeps pulling me back. I just love that v8 noise and that twin turbo feel when accelerating hard. I thought I would be running with open arms back to the M5 but was surprised when I didn't. Tres strange. Have you driven one yet?

No, have a test drive booked in for
Sunday. Is the M5 you drove currently advertised?

I loved my C5 but far to costly and unreliable for me to use as a daily.

Yeah I know what you mean and that's why I'm considering getting into the M5. I test drive the space grey one at Vines of Gatwick and I fell in love a little bit. The Silverstone interior is awesome and works really well with the grey. Its a little out of my price range but Daniel (the sales guy) was not pushy at all. I was very tempted. How did you find the C6?

The C6 was great but a little boring which was my concern, everyday it would be nicer to live with, but when you want drama, the M5 wins hands down.

Mod the fook out of it, and it'll plenty scare you ;)

The only drama I saw was a modded M5 getting his ass handed to him on a plate... and the tears that followed..Image

Yes I know the RS6 is a quicker car, but it's not always about that ;-)
