Lads on the M3 forum seem quite impressed with the looks, but some have voiced concerns over the high reving engine.Look at the problems the current E46 M3 is having with its high reving plant and the effect it is having on residuals on affected cars.
Hopefully the Saloon will flag up any teething problems and they will be resolved before the Avant hits the roads.
I would imagine fuel consumption when exploiting full engine power will be awful.....just like the M3.
B7 S4 saloon hits 62mph in 5.6.......the RS4 manages the same speed in 4.8......not a great difference there either.
And arent the light weight recaro seats, pictured in the yellow launch car a cost option?
If so the weight goes up further.
Cheers fc

I'm sorry. I like the looks.
You would prefer a 911 turbo at 4.2 seconds and that is a smaller difference to the RS4?

I agree, but do we buy these cars for efficiency?FrankC wrote:I would imagine fuel consumption when exploiting full engine power will be awful.....just like the M3.
17% quicker is not a great difference????????FrankC wrote: B7 S4 saloon hits 62mph in 5.6.......the RS4 manages the same speed in 4.8......not a great difference there either.

It's on the press release so I assume they are standard, although the final specs have yet to be shown.FrankC wrote:And arent the light weight recaro seats, pictured in the yellow launch car a cost option?
