Newbie with a blown engine

Post by dazb5rs4 » Mon Aug 04, 2014 7:04 pm

Hi everyone, I've recently purchased a highly tuned B5 RS4 after selling on my B5 S4 which I loved and cherished for the last 10 years. I purchased the car knowing that the turbos were in need of an overhaul (lobaLO600s). So I had the engine removed and sent the turbos to Loba where they lovingly remanufactured the turbos to current P spec. :jump_clap: refitted them and carefully bedded them in over 1200 miles only running on half boost setting. She was running perfectly around 600ish, so I eagerly booked her in at MRC for a dyno run and a map tweak. Then2 days before she was due at MRC she decided to throw a conrod through the side of the engine.

Sadly I am now in need of a new bottom end, I only need the crank casing as I am having some updated conrods and crank made by a pal of mine to cope with the extra power. Any advice greatfully welcomed - sorry for the sob story to start off with.

RS4 with Loba LO600p's, Wagner intercoolers, Loba clutch, 650 injectors, full milltek with gutted cats,Bosch fuel pump and a methanol kit. :greyrs4:

Contact Jimbo on audi srs or audi addict he breaks old rs4's. I paid 3k for a second hand complete engine from him not sure what a bare bottom end would cost
