The decent 3M gear for wrapping is not cheap guys. I send customers vehicles off for wrapping after rebrands etc.

If I remember rightly, the decent rolls of stuff that don't fade, shape and heat really well with good curing memory cost a fortune. Especially if some of you want a bespoke satin colour or some rare finish - don't forget this needs to be bought by the roll with a minimum order too, so the margins aren't as much as you may think.

By the time you've factored in two men fitting for two days and doing it properly by removing fittings, handles etc, £1500 for a wrap all of a sudden looks too cheap.

I don't begrudge them making money, that's what we all try and do with business. I just wish they weren't so in demand as they'd be my first choice from what I've seen and not sure I want to wait until Dec.

What i really need is someone really good, that no one knows about, so not booked up for 5 months ;)
I think £2k is pretty good VFM for what it is

Graeme - have you tried KDS in Gillingham? When I was in a few months back, Kelly (who is highly respected for any car related paint, detailing etc.) were testing various wraps on their 'house' M3. I know they have done some wrap on a Veyron with some metallic wrap on the over head bars - I know thier core business is detailing, but they have been asked so much to wrap, hence do so...

Winner, I'll drop them a mail

I've had a sports classic grey itch ever since seeing the Goodward car, and I think a wrap will protect the paint nicely for a couple of years before car change time (or sooner if I get bored of the colour and want it red again), and didn't want to wait the extra 6 months for custom paint from Audi

That's a nice colour Graham, I know there's different quality's of wrap, some last longer than others, think they maybe a little more cash?
