MRC C6 RS 6 Map Tweak

Yeah, it's always done 750 odd PS and 900 odd NM the last few times it has been on a dyno on the old map, however, I think the 715PS was down to the heat and old clogged filters.

It's embarrassing, as most people think you're talking crap when they ask what power it is putting out and you loose all credibility.

I have this problem with the C5 so I'd be amazed if anyone believed your C6's power!
If the other person has a fast car I'm usually quite vague and just say it's got a reasonable amount of power, then leave them for dead on the first nice bit of empty road we come to!

Any of you good chaps running stage 2 tunes have any concerns or issues with everyday usability? How does the map feel and behave trundling along doing all the mundane stuff we have to do in our lives. Ideally I want a stock feel with that little bit extra if that makes sense. I don't want something that has the gearbox clunking around or the revs surging whilst I'm waiting at the lights or the exhaust booming like the proverbial boy racer at McDonalds on a Saturday night cruise ... I'm sadly too old for all that!

I'm on the verge of booking myself in with MRC - just waiting to find out what slots they have available back end of August / September but wondering if I'm going too far - it's not as if I do a full power WOT run every morning on the daily commute. Someone please allay my fears and paranoia No need to be kind ... just tell me to man up and get it done already!

Everyday drivability is the same as a normal RS 6, with that bit extra just how you want, noise will be the same and no revs surging. It is like a normal car driving around town when you're not flooring it.

Just realised from the date of this post, I've not actually driven the car since making the original post! Will take it out tomorrow.

I echo the other comments, at low speeds/low throttle it feels exactly the same day to day, it doesn't effect driveability at all. The only difference I notice when taking it easy is much more low down torque which is great as you get more torque with lower revs but still totally as smooth in it's delivery, it's basically more MRC magic

Brimming with enthusiasm I rang MRC at lunchtime to book myself in. Next available slot is mid August which is great as it coincides with my week off work ... wait a minute the Milltek exhaust is on 4 week back order ... now pencilled in on 1st September hoping it appears in time ... counting the days already!
