MRC C6 RS 6 Map Tweak

Un-fecking-believable.

I had to adjust my mind to cope with all the extra power when I came from my stage two tuned C5 RS 6, to the stage two tuned C6 RS 6... I'm now having to do it all over again.

On the old filters and map, it made 715.1PS and 934NM, with version 2 MRC filters, (developed for the stage three 860BHP+ cars.) and a map tweak it went to 754.3PS and 1021NM, Doug reckons it will do more on a cooler engine, but it had been on the dyno having the map adjusted for around two hours and it was 28 degrees outside.

If your map is a few years old (one of the sub 1000nm maps) they've updated it since then, get it booked in... The difference is >>>  

Edit: The 1021NM now comes in @ 3823 RPM vs 934 @ 5572 on the old map.

I believe the newer air filters uses a thinner less restrictive foam from ITG.

Any feedback on torque going through gearbox?
I know 1000nm was ways branded about as the limit the gearbox will take?....don't know how true this is?

Did MRC mention anything?

I didn't ask, if I have to replace the box, it'd be no biggie, I get pretty favourable rates through Audi and it'd be totally worth it to me for the thrill.

DK - It's changed the car, I was skeptical when Golfather told me the difference it made to his, but he was right.

Problem is every time I'd boot it I'd be paranoid about gearbox?..I feel mines on the limit with 899nm now.

Bet you daren't turn traction off and do a full blown launch?...

Any link to the latest air filters, or are they MRC supply only?....I dare say sticking them in without a map tweak will give you a little more power?

Mine was making 600bhp with MRC filters before I got my stage 2.

Just when you think you're at the limit before changing hardware they go and offer you a load more power and torque, excellent. Crazy cars! Gotta love them.

Upgrading the gearbox not only gives it longevity with all that torque, it can handle over 900 nm safely and the gear changes are so fast and smooth just like a dual clutch box.
