RS6 Plus Sprint Blue For Sale

Post by leaded » Mon Apr 28, 2014 1:43 pm

I've made the jump to a C6 RS6 so the Sprint blue C5 RS6 Plus is now up for sale. Difficult decision as the C5 sounds and looks incredible and is a Plus where as the C6 looks dull (grey, black leather) and doesn't sound at all. It will be missed.

A well known forum car - just coming up to 57K miles. 2 previous owners.

Service History is:

19/07/05 – 5123 Audi
28/01/08 – 10109 Audi
15/04/09 – 19867 MRC. 20K service
27/11/09 – MRC – (no service) Health Check.
11/08/10 – 29401 MRC
20/09/11 – 34280 MRC (No Service) – Check and minor work
01/12/11 – 37307 Unit 20 – 10K service. Cambelt change and waterpump.
05/04/12 – MRC – (no service) Stage 2 Engine an gearbox map – decat pipes and milltek exhaust fitted
22/06/12 – 44,000 Unit 20
28/01/13 – 50472 MRC (no service) – Health check, Intercoolers sealed and silicone hoses fitted. Gearbox Service
29/05/13 – 52561 4 Star. Oil service
08/08/13 – New discs and pads all round. Front caliper refurb.

Taxed until August. MOT done a couple of months ago.

Private plate included P11 LUS. (Old plate MD04DXF).

H&R coilover suspension and hotchkis anti roll bars.

All original factory paintwork. Detailed regularly.

Michelin Super Sports all round. 4mm tread

Negatives:
Wheels lightly scuffed – will be refurbished before sale to the wider market.
Steering wheel retrimmed thicker in black suede leather – starting to wear
Aftermarket reversing camera fitted but not working.

Link to the car on the forum, mileage @ 36K now 56K

Indeed, a lovely car and a credit to Amar and the previous owners. I've done my best over the last two years to keep it that way.

Give me a call Lucas.

Wheel sent off for refurbishment, tyres were more worn than thought so have 4 x new Goodyear Eagle F1s to fit to the refurbished wheels.

Couple of pictures of the arches now wheels are off.

Sweet.

Photos do it no justice versus seeing it in the flesh. I remember driving to Great Yarmouth in the BMW I had at the time, left at 5am or something crazy, took nearly four hours to get there, jaw dropped and bought it on the spot, didn't drive it, didn't inspect it, it was mine. Broke all them important C5 rules. MoRS6+ was the previous owner, also a forum member.

Still smelt new, 32 or 33k miles on it when I had it IIRC.

Good luck with the sale, Lucas.

Thanks Amar, so tempted to keep it, the V10 is a more modern car but no where near as special.

I first went in it when the mileage was still reading four digits. Marcus paid handsomely for it, but WHAT A CAR! :nogarors4:

I can't believe how clean it is!
Is it a 'dry days only car' and if not how do you keep it like that. I spent hours cleaning nooks and crannies on mine but I think the inside of your wheel arches are cleaner than the accessible bits of mine.
Back to the drawing board

By doing sad stuff like this...
Mr V10 wrote:On Saturday, I dealt with the engine bay. With the help of cotton ear buds, brushes, cloths some G101 all purpose cleaner and some aerospace 303 protectant. I forgot to take a before picture, but it looked like this.

I ended up with this ( I later cleaned the outside section of the engine too, but haven't got an updated picture)
Ignore the ripped sofa, it was it's final resting place before the tip, my dad was going to take it in the RS, but he left it out and it's too dirty now so isn't allowed in it...!

Decided to test out my new rotary, moving on from my G220. I only did half the bonnet. The process was...

Menz IP on a CYC mild cutting pad
Then Megs show car glaze on a finishing pad
Dodo Juice rainforest rub wax
Zaino Z8
Of course, I washed and clayed beforehand too. Next weekend, I'm doing the whole car.

First, I quickly and rather carelessly masked 'er up.

I'm pleased with the correction I got. It's hard to pick up with the camera though.

The interior looks awesome in the flesh, originally, it was the only thing I wasn't sure about. But after I spent a few hours on it, it looks awesome. The camera just doesn't pick up how good it looks in the flesh. As the car only has 36k miles, it still has the new car smell. Which is further enhanced by my use of Gliptone on the leather and leather air fresheners under two seats.

Looking forward to trying it. I also spent some time today 'de bobbling' the alcantara seats. For a car with only 36,000 miles they really are showing lots of wear.

After

The amount of bobbling I collected

G101 really is all purpose...

I see what I'm dealing with now!
Obsessive cleaning but impressive results.
Mr V10 ,What did you use on the carbon engine covers to get them like that?
Leaded sorry don't mean to hijack your selling thread with car cleaning questions but at least it saves bumping your post
