Starting to wonder if this is the right car for a daily
Re: Starting to wonder if this is the right car for a daily
Probably should have purchased a 70k car with all bits done and saved myself a couple of grand
Re: Starting to wonder if this is the right car for a daily
The condition and way the car has been maintained is far more important than mileage, I sold mine with 90k on it but it was mintPatgas1 wrote:Probably should have purchased a 70k car with all bits done and saved myself a couple of grand

The car is mint with full audi sh interior mint and good high spec.
Standing in a garage can sometime do more harm than good.
Just one of those things I guess .......hopefully that's it for a while
It's had couple of shocks ect discs pads already, and now hoses on drc front shock and re charge, two rads.
We will see

Re: Starting to wonder if this is the right car for a daily
I purchased a low millage more for retail value in couple of years to be honest .....plan was in couple of years the car will only have done 65ish so should still get good money for it. :
Re: Starting to wonder if this is the right car for a daily
Swings and roundabouts mate. You can buy a low mileage car and still end up spending a huge amount in fixing issues along with both standard and unexpected maintenance. That could potentially negate the added premium the car gets you back at resale. Always a gamble either way but for me how it's been looked after is top on the list.
Re: Starting to wonder if this is the right car for a daily
Mines done same mileage and same things replaced years ago, your lucky they held out till now.Clutch could be any time soon, mine was done a tad before 50k but runs more power than stock.Like other said, there far from new you have to expect something as with every car.

Re: Starting to wonder if this is the right car for a daily
I did a lot of research before buying the 4 - and was under no illusion the purchase price was not the complete picture...
I bought a 120k mile car so it was a bit cheaper, but I've had to service it (inc front discs and pads), drc shock, two cv boots, puncture then set of four tyres, set of four tpms senders, carbon clean, wheel refurb, and that's before the nice to haves (bucket load of new carbon bits, etc).
They ain't cheap to run but worth it
