Misano Red RS4 delivery

What worries me about these clear wraps is the problems being stored up. Sure short term it offers some additional protection, but it is only a thin plastic wrap, it's not going to prevent sharp stones from getting through.

Inevitably it'll age harden and colour at some point. Then what happens if you peel it off and it takes paint where chips have propagated underneath.

For a garage queen i can see some benefit if you're going to change it every couple of years.

For day to day? Don't see the point, if you get chips then get paint.

Not as though the wrap is going to prevent this. You could spunk a load on a wrap, still get chips and need paint as well.

Venture shield is guaranteed and is strong enough to withstand stones

Then it defies physics! I'd love to see the actual terms behind that claim and the testing that went into it. Can it withstand the blunderbuss that is grit spreading at motorway speeds?

I wrapped the front end of two cars a few years ago and while I didn't get chips, the vinyl did pierce in more than one place. It also suffered with grazes and insect marks, which I found impossible to repair and have had the same problem with the rear arches of every 911 I've owned. I believe the products have improved and there's a guy in my local who completely wrapped his car and is so far happy with it, cost him thousands though!

That's true
However, was originally due in June, and even though it should now have been built, I've still not had any confirmation of this due to this 'global VAG ceramic shortage'
