Chaps, it's the impurities in the water and hence filtering to 0ppm that allows you if you wanted to, leave a wet paintwork to dry normally - even without blowing. Same principle as commercial and now many domestic window cleaners - they use purified water to clean windows and allow them to dry naturally. The hardness would mean the filter would have have to work harder or not depending on the area you live in.

The leaf blower, with a coating and purified water simply streaks the water off completely...

But is it possible to (non commercial) filter to 0ppm from a hose ? I didn't think it was without spending £000's

Just fitted the filter now and washed my car after a dusty day at bikepark wales yesterday, so will let you know how the water dries as not chamois'd it off at all

Out if curiosity, what does 0ppm water taste like?

Graeme - I've been using this for some time - it's ACE. Once eventually the filter needs changing, another linked in series in the hose line will make light work of the filtration on the new one.

Tip - I've added the filter at the end or next to the spray nozzle - I kind of cradle it in one arm and rinse with the other with a short connection. This way, the filtered water is literally filtered and then on the paintwork as opposed to filtered water running the length of a hose and then on the car - less chance of increasing that 0PPM. Anal, I know...

I also top up the washer bitter with filtered water :0)

It's certainly very impressive
I like the idea of running them in sequence, but it'll be a while until I get through the 60 or so washes it lasts

Echo the above, It's an impressive bit of kit. It's the one thing I hate about washing a car in warm weather - water marks!

Yes, they quote 60 washes but having checked with my water authority website, the water is moderately soft so may take some time to expire
