A very sad day...

Post by Imola_Sid » Tue Jun 10, 2014 7:36 pm

So, today was the day the new owner came and took my pride and joy away. After I had got it how I wanted and the plate went on I genuinely planned to keep it forever. The best car I've ever owned and the power was brutal. The mods made it so much more special too.

Unfortunately, finances meant I needed something lighter on the pockets but I hope to return to the RS6 fold again in the future.

Big thanks to everyone on here for all the help and support over the last 3 years or so (in particular Ben). Without your help, I would have been stuck so many times.

Next car will probably be a smaller BMW so I can get back on the track action too. I'll try to stick around and say hello whenever I can.

Some pics of how the car looked on Sunday at DC14.

Must be a bit of a dodgy snap. I didn't notice that earlier but the actual photo has come out like that :?
Never felt so gutted after selling a car.

He's got himself a great car. I've asked him to give me first refusal if/when he comes to sell it. If my circumstances change I'd buy it back in a flash. The car is amazing in every way. So sad to see it go

"Genuinely planned to keep it forever" I said the same when paying out for the gearbox but think I'll be following you.

Lol. Wasn't anything to do with the big expenses... When I got it back after the carbon work and put the plate on it was complete. At that point i genuinely thought i'd keep it for good.

If you can afford to keep it, keep it. You'll regret selling. It's been less than 24 hours and I'm regretting it already! Lol

i'd be sad too, i am sad and it's not even mine :(, that is one hell of an RS6 C5, absolutely love that color and the whole car looks amazing, i hope it will get just as cherished by the new owner, would be such a pity to loose an example as this one by not taking care of it properly....

what is the color code? i'll have to either respray mine or get it wrapped, but this is the color i want :)

My mate is loving the car, he's been adjusting the panel gaps to get them perfect, sorted some tyres, and is getting it machine polished and carbon roof polished up, should be totally mint, it's being looked after Sid
