center section

Post by D6CLN » Sun May 25, 2014 7:13 pm

anyone on here had theres cut out to make it a bit more louder?
most places in my area wont remove the pre cats as its to much work for them and want to keep the flaps at the back.
i can always put the center sections back in at a later date if i dont like it so worth a shot and much cheaper.

me mate had a rs4 with the center resonated section removed, made it sound a good bit meatier.
removeing the pre cats will give you sound and power, removing the center section will just give you sound.
i imagine your local fabricators are scared of snapping the downpipe bolts, if they have never been off before they can be a chew.

Do you not get drone, when removing the resenator.

When you say centre section im assuming you are referring to the resonator?

I got mine done in Falkirk. Place called Stainless Creations. The guy has an RS4 too. Very good addition and would highly recommend it.

No drones just more noise but more crisper than in Sport mode.

He had made one up previously for Mark who owned my car before me but Mark removed it before he sold it. I found out from Mark where it was done and went back to him. It was literally, fit and forget it. No problems with it and it sounded really good and wasn't too loud.
Couldn't believe the difference it made. Almost like it awoken the car and made it sound like it should have in the first place!

I did have a guy come up to me in a petrol station who was witness to me overtaking someone doing 30mph in a 50mph zone and tell me it sounded amazing when i past the old guy.

The day my car drove away when Patrick bought it, it did sound immense. :boohoo:

Who's doing that for you fella? Are you having downpipes done or precats gutted too? How about the 200 CEL cats - you sticking with the audi ones or going after market.
Of course pics are a must!

Does anyone know if that is with valves open? I assume so if he is making a video of the noise. Sounds nice but I thought it would be louder. I'm seriously thinking about doing this next. Has anyone heard a similar system but with gutted precats?
