FS: PICS UPDATE -Totally original C5 RS6 avant FASH, the lot

For sale is my 2004 plate Daytona Grey RS6 avant. with black interior and full alcantara headlining and the usual carbon fibre pack with all the usual bits like heated front and rear seats, telephone prep, rear cargo net system etc. It has covered 76k. First 66k by its previous lady driver (ha ha I hear, but no it really is true, it was the wife's car for the family!) and the remainder by me. Carefully owned and pampered by both owners and being my weekend car. This car comes with a FULL Audi history and thick history folder. It wants for nothing. The previous owner was very well off and had the car taken to the local dealer for every last thing that needed doing in the ownership.

It comes with 4 vitually new Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tyres, brand new front discs and pads, and essentially a new full DRC suspension (4 new DRC shocks and both accumulators, still within warranty. All the work was undertaken by Audi.

I have also had the cambelt done at 73k, a job which was done with only genuine parts. I had all belts, pulleys, idlers, tensioners, dampers and gaskets replaced and also did the water pump, thermostat and crack seal, just for good measure and the gearbox fluid. The air con system was also drained at this point and refilled. I have a bill for nearing £1800 for this job!

It has just had a service by Camberley Audi and I also had the DRC system serviced, checked and drained, vacuumed and refilled. It comes with a new 12 months road tax and a brand new MOT. I also had a chance to get right under the car there and it was immaculate. They were the second Audi dealer who actually came out afterwards and said what a beautiful example it was and how nice to see one so well looked after.

I am anal about my cars and this car wants for nothing. I am a fastidious owner and this car is as close to perfect as you could want. My ethos is basically to buy the best you can find and then maintain it as best you can, whilst keeping everything totally original (hence all new DRC and brand new factory spec tyres). There are no dings, dents or scuffs and the paintwork is superb. The interior is unmarked and there is no seat deformity at all in the leather and bolsters etc (prob helped being driven by a slight lady and then 11.5 stone me!). The gearbox is sweet as a nut and beautifully smooth and has never once given me any problems, so no worries there at all. I also have 2 spare tyres with at least 85% wear left on them and these will be included in the sale.

The only downside is the front 2 wheels have a small scuff patch on each, so anyone as anal as me would want to redo them. There is no metal damage. One of my rear parking sensors has also started playing up in the last couple of weeks.

Other than that its an absolute peach. Not a knock, dodgy noise at all. It really is a beauty and totally original. The price is a firm £12,500. You will absolutely not be disappointed. It took me months of searching to find one like this, so I hope someone else will benefit in turn and that she will go to a good home to someone who wants a totally original, unmolested and well cared for example.

I do not plan on putting reams of pics on here as you guys (sorry, and you Amanda!) know what these things look like by now in Daytona and black, but please contact me if you are serious about this vehicle.

I can honestly say this is a very nice example. Purely by coincidence I was looking for a C6 and saw one advertised in the Isle of Wight. Whilst on holiday on the Island I decided to go and have a look hoping to get a possible PX on my C5.
I turned up at the dealer had a good look over the C6 then started to talk about PX. Unfortunately for me some 20 minutes earlier SD81 had also looked at the C6 in his C5.
All I can say is the dealer was more interested in telling me what a fantastic example of an unmolested C5 had been in 20 minutes earlier. I realised at that point I was not going to get what I thought mine was worth.
The following day I actually saw SD81's C5 and unfortunately for me the dealer was spot on. (Small place the IOW )
Turns out the owner lives just down the road from our holiday home.
Looking at the car and by his own admission the attention to detail is "Anal"
Fortunately mine is now with a new owner and I'm loving the C6. ( Not the one on the Island ) I was never going to get what I wanted.

Is it a PLUS version? and why not fix the scuffs on the wheels which seem to be the only issue?

Thanks Mark. I must admit it was lovely seeing another one over here and having the 2 best colours in one spot was nice to see. I saw a chap in a lovely RS4 over here at the weekend and he said he actually waited in his car for 20 minutes in the car park (Newport doesnt take long to get around!) to see if the owner of my car came back as he wanted to ask about it and complimented me on what lovely condition it was and did I have any plans to change anything on it. He had an avant model himself and wanted to compare boot space as well. I did mention that I was selling mine and he said if he could have found the money he would have bitten my arm off, but he was with his wife and son and the new baby and said other priorities had reduced his cash flow! He wished he went for Daytona instead of the black one he got.

That dealer you mentioned spent ages eyeballing my vehicle and even stood there going through the engine bay trying to find dirt! He spent ages talking to me about the car and turns out he was more than a bit of a petrolhead himself. He was driving a C63 AMG at the time and showed me around that.

In response to the other question, no, this is not a "plus" model. I dont plan to do the front 2 wheels as many owners seem to like changing the colour or shade of their alloys, so I will leave it up to the next owner to decide how they want to finish them.

I would like to get over to the island with the C6 but my daughter always wants to drive her mini. I'm sure the novelty will fade.

Just been out to the local Shop and noticed the mileage is only 76k and NOT 83k!! I gave the wrong vehicle mileage. Guess that makes it a better buy now with 7000 less miles on the clock!!

Yes, but to be honest, I doubt there is a person on here who doesnt know what a daytona grey avant looks like with black interior and also the weather has been tipping it down here for ages and unfortunately, I dont get home until around 8pm most nights so getting it cleaned is usually a weekend job (weather dependent) as I like to take my time. I hate rushing a job.

Anyone who wanted a car like this with this history and work done would have approached me anyway so I guess nobody is interested, which is fine. I may well get it taken as part-ex. I am off to view another vehicle tomorrow.

Someone is going to miss out on an absolute peach but then thats all part of the game. Someone will end up with it, albeit at a somewhat augmented price no doubt via a dealer!
