weird issues

Post by ginch » Wed May 14, 2014 5:12 am

So I drove the car on Sunday. Perfect. Started the car this morning to drive to work and all was good. Noticed a few times that there was a small amount of hesitation, especially noticeable between shifts. Car felt a little sluggish and would bog for 1/2 second between shifts. Did it mostly when shifting at lower rpms, not so much if I revved it out. No CEL. Then this afternoon after filling the car I noticed it didn't start the way it used to (quick turn of the ignition key to activate the starter), I had to hold the key to start it. Not sure what the problem could be. Any ideas?

My point exactly. Twice he mentioned having to turn the key.

Edit: Did the Canadians not get the start button?

Oh no ... No start button?

At least it's got a 5* NCAP rating!

I'll take the start button thanks!

As the first reply said, sounds like a clutch switch issue. Does your cruise control work?

Yes the button adds character to the car

The 5* NCAP was in refereence to the article in the Daily Mail today, where some guy back in 2012 purchased an R8 on the back of it having a 5* ncap rating

His father died (POOR CHAP)in an R8, does not say it was his, but due to the state of the car he carried out his investigations and found that the R8, A5, A7 and A8 were never tesed but "some " Audi outlets advertised in there showrooms that they were 5*...

I was just saying at least our cars have the rating
