Yeah, I knew. Ive got a stock of wheels and parts I can sell on to cover stuff which is handy as I got fairly rinsed for the paint job and saves me hammering the bank account in quick succession. Martin is on the case and there will be a couple upgrades during the rebuild.

tbh with you it was banging into gear when i bought it lol at 76,825K, , the previous owner before me assured we it was fine just the remap, and said his next mod if he were to keep it would be the ACE torque converter, I should of heard alarm bells even back then, i baby'd the car around during my time of ownership, only occasionally opening her up for fear of the box going on me, after the gearbox fluid change things were much improved, i knew it still wasn't quite right but with out driving another rs6 it was hard to tell, it was always my intention to get it sorted at Unit 20, spoke to Martin about bringing her in a few times various quotes, but mounting costs for other jobs like the electrical system, a newly developed engine rattle and battery change etc etc, meant i couldn't fund it, i was lucky to fund the wrap,tints and x2 wheel refurbs for the MTM's she left me as i part exchanged her at vauxhall for a corsa vxr nurburgring edition, that quickly fell to bits they are not built very well!, im now back in a v8 though 5.0l mercedes benz cls 500 oh to be back in a V8! im happy again good to follow the progress

Yeah that is slightly out of order and as Amar says, let's hope we've misunderstood.

I think the gearbox on the Plus is also playing up every now and again but I'm hoping (and praying to all things that are holy) that the gearbox service and replacement of the trans oil temp sensor is going to sort things out.

It's strange though, sometimes it's as good as gold and others, like today when cruising in 5th, I put my foot down a little and instead of dropping a gear, it just raised the revs like clutch slip!!! Oh how I love autoboxes!!!

you guys crack me up, it was sold to me with a banging gear box fault by the previous owner before me, denying anything was wrong with the car, he just stated if he was going to keep the car he would fit the ACE torque converter as his next mod. As a first time RS6 owner about to buy my dream car i wasn't to know perhaps this was 'secret code' that the box could be faulty?? he assured me it was fine, and i bought the car i paid just over £11k for the car imagine my disappointment finding out the box would probably need sorting soon after, check my threads on here back when i had the car various torque coverter fault code threads, it was soon after i released driving it shouldn't really be banging into gear, i mentioned it on here during various threads so i didn't hide any information a quick search will show all the threads, after the gearbox was serviced things were much improved, its never had a refurbished box all its life, and it was mapped to stage 1 so its lasted quite well considering, daz never posted up should i buy this car? it was by coincidence he posted up about being the new owner from which i made contact. i part exchanged the car for a corsa vxr nurburgring at vauxhall the car was then sent to auction
