Wifey actually says "all too silly"
Reminds me of the old saying:

A big fan of Audi/Lambo V10 engines and cars in the guise of RS6 and lambo gallardo's.
(waiting to be flamed by fellow lambo gallardo owners)![]()
Also a fan of R8 V10, but still a jaguar tragic![]()

Ive not been so much on the Lambo Forum over the last month as Ive been busy with the Ferraris most of the time. The 360 giving me lots of joy and the 430 giving hazzle. Lots of HAZZLE.....

Never knew you had the Ultraleggera wheels on your G. I run the same setup. Love it.
Ended up with a RS6 here out of pure coincidence. Was getting an ML63AMG but the ML was sold when I came to the dealer. Drove home in an RS6..... Haha.

Re: RS6 vs RS6+ brakes
Hi all,
getting back on topic re the brake upgrade available for the RS6, I ran the RS6 at the local drags with the Michelin PSS and MTM 390 steel fronts.
Could only manage 11.4 secs with terminal speed of 204 kph. The Michelin PSS were spinning a bit on take off so may have affected the ET. The RS6 felt stronger with the secondary cat delete JCfabweld exhaust as per the improved performance at the Wyalkatchem Racewars 1000metre sprint.
A real positive from the run at the drags was the car pulled up a lot quicker in the braking area with full confidence with the MTM 405mm front steels compared to the OEM front 390mm steels on the OEM 20" rims.
I enclose some pics of the 405 mm front steels with the mtm bells/hubs and Performance Friction 405 mm friction rings on the RS6. Also the kit supplied by MTM. The 405 mm fronts enhance bragging rights
As a fan of steels, I have also increased size of front rotors on the Gallardo 19" rims from OEM 365mm to maximum size Stasis Audi R8 390mm Alcon rotor upgrade. Noticeable increase in braking power.
I cant argue against ceramics, but I did want to have to upgrade ABS etc. with installation of ceramics. The 405mm steels are not grabby when cold. Brake application feel is just like the standard OEM steels.
Just my two cents worth.
cheers,
john
ps 993turbo, you wont regret getting the RS6 over the merc. I am always impressed by the RS6 every time I drive it
A great sleeper- a real 'iron fist in a velvet' glove machine with the safety of AWD

Re: RS6 vs RS6+ brakes
The MTM brake kit looks great! Im also a fan of steels as I think the dosing of brake force is easier.
