Argon and don't think it's coming back
Argon and don't think it's coming back
Sent some parts off to argon before Christmas and still waiting on them, been told they have a problem with resin build up and I'm a priority but others have ordered carbon and had it delivered,
I know it's not an easy process but I asked for recent pics and they were date stamped 2 months ago.
Anyone else experience long turnover?
Their work is great but I think they need more staff now

Re: Argon and don't think it's coming back
What is it you've sent rick? Busy or difficult/lengthy process fair enough but 4 months is rediculous!
I'd be asking for the part or a replacement back and be speaking to broony @ C6 on edition,

4 months is crazy!! That would piss me off TBH I had to wait around 5 weeks that was bad enough, their work is good but I
removed the rear rings on my car due to the poor adhesive Stickers supplied, they are too thick with random pads stuck at the back, after a month or so the badge started to lift off the boot lid, not what I expected to be honest

Re: Argon and don't think it's coming back
Been thinking about putting in an order too. This has put me off. I cant get over the mark up from this new company dealing with their stuff compared to what Agron direct were selling them for.

Re: Argon and don't think it's coming back
what pisses me off is they say its a priority but then see on facebook they update all the time with all sorts, feel like im being fed BS about it, they have made moulds etc so i think they need my part to make sure it fits as the pics the sent of the ones that were works in progress looked pretty good
just some interior wheel parts, think i will next time cheersC17LJR wrote:What is it you've sent rick? Busy or difficult/lengthy process fair enough but 4 months is rediculous!

i have the A8 badge on mine and had no problem, maybe it had too much polish on the boot before it was applied?Silas wrote:4 months is crazy!! That would piss me off TBH I had to wait around 5 weeks that was bad enough, their work is good but I

normal stuff shouldnt be a problem, just parts they havnt done seem to take a while. the mark ups are crazy, saying that tho argon have a washer cover on ebay for 400 wtfYoungben wrote:Been thinking about putting in an order too. Re: Argon and don't think it's coming back
Oh no!!! sticky pads are a good 5mm plus, and not continuous like the rs badges supplied. looking from above the rings you could see gaps, the original rings fitted flush with no gaps, looked crap!! IMOi have the A8 badge on mine and had no problem, maybe it had too much polish on the boot before it was applied?
Re: Argon and don't think it's coming back
they must have changed them, mine were continuous

Re: Argon and don't think it's coming back
Told them I want one ...after the front splitters were made, they were going to do the rear diffuser..they have had the mould for a year now and had planned on producing them from last September..last update I got a couple of weeks ago was they have produced one and it's been on a forum members car for several weeks and were going to chase him up to get his feedback..Rick_RS4 wrote:scaghead wrote:Been waiting a year for a rear diffuser...there stuff is good, but they are very laid back Geordie boys..

I don't think they will let you down on your bits, they like I say just seem very laid back and maybe a little disorganised...from memory the carbon bits they done for me in my sig..took a couple of months,I paid upfront but never felt in that time they were going to have me over...maybe not the best way to run a business, but I don't think he is very business minded...lovely fella though..

Re: Argon and don't think it's coming back
I have contacted them several times via both their website and Facebook page asking how they're getting on with the rear diffuser but they've not even bothered to respond to me a single time... Surprised they get raved about on here as much as they do tbh as i'm certainly not impressed with their service...

Re: Argon and don't think it's coming back
Here you go! Posted up today....

Hi all well I know a lot of you have been wondering what is happening to the RS4 rear diffuser project.
So let me update you all
We are designing a carbon fibre rear diffuser that will without any cutting of the old rear diffuser cover it and give it there vertical fins that many rs4 drivers would like to see and keep it more in line with its bigger brother the RS6 rear diffuser.
Where the project is now
well since we are self-funding its design and development with some help from local RS4 owners lending us spare bumpers and trial fitting various the various prototype parts (thanks agent for the help so far).we are slowly getting there with it fitting it in with all the other projects and orders we have on the go. The project has been more involved than we first anticipated due to the self-imposed design restrictions that it must fit over the old diffuser with as little cutting or modifying as possible if any. This means it can easily be put back to a factory standard state when you come to move on to your new RS4 B8. At present it has taken a back shelf while we work on some other rather large projects (not Audi RS model related) but it is still planned for the future.
The future
The future for this project well we have been on and off with it for around 7 months when time allows even if it is working on it on a night .we are at a stage were we are roughly happy with the design but are now considering production time scales and whether adjusting the design will ease/speed up production time and there for reduce cost to you the end consumer.so in short yes we are still planning on launching it but not until it is right some of which will be based upon you the RS4 enthusiast towards the end of the project.
If you have any further questions as usual just email us and we will do our best to get back to you.

Re: Argon and don't think it's coming back
That looks very heavy looking, maybe it's the angle of the photo?
Re: Argon and don't think it's coming back
I don't think the angle will help unless viewed from the front and even then only with the aid of a white stick and a dog called Bouncer.
