Also, doesn't help that one of them on this particular car's had a whack and has been shoddily fitted with some cheap <beep> tyre that vibrates and shakes the car and causes it to pull under acceleration as the other three are still Oe bridgestones. FFS Audi uk !

Those rotors do look crap on the rs5 for sure, I think 99% of the time v spokes look better on the 4 and 5, just certain colours like mine look so much better with rotors,I think missano red with black powder coated rotors like mine would look great!!

I've heard of shock failure after a shortened springs are fitted. Grit gets everywhere and after a certain amount of miles you get build up on ya strut shafts at the extremities of the shaft travel. Shorter springs change this and the grit can stuff the seals causing the strut to fail. If Riv is under 20k miles I don't think it'll be an issue, 50k+ and I'd be figuring the struts may go :(

Can somebody clarify how they know Audi don't void the warrantee if you install lowering springs? Did you email Audi, do Audi need to fit the springs? I could do with more info on the subject please.

Thanks :beerchug:

That's interesting to hear, riv is on 7k ATM
So a few miles away yet,if It's a keeper I might even charge it one day,and upgrade all the suspension at the same time :beerchug:

I would suggest with fitting lowered springs, that you can pretty much write off any warranty on anything even remotely connected to the suspension.
I've had to battle to get items that have genuinely failed replaced under warranty recently, and the third party company (remember, it's not audi that underwrites your warranty) has asked the dealer to double check any mods made any part of the drive train or engine to find a way to wriggle out of paying.

I'd be very wary unless you're happy you'll not get DRC leaks or maybe drive shaft/diff issues as I could see them in the worse case saying this could be a result of the car sitting lower.

Audi UK do underwrite the manufacturer warranty.

Its the 3yr+ warranty that's underwritten by Mondial

I'm inclined to agree, I hate the bloody DRC!! It gave me SO much hassle on the b7
Mine is going in tomorrow with a strange squeaking noise which is pissing me off, wouldn't surprise me if it was a shock :audibash:

If you're mechanically minded, you could always swap back to normal springs when you take it into the dealer. Hopefully, it's only every 18k miles for a service

If I was I would still pay someone else to sort, as you need a ramp, it would be worth doing.. not sure if I trust that the DRC would last 18k with no troubles

Haha, good point
If it's just a quick job though, you could always get swapped back if you do start getting an issue
Fwiw, the DRC on my old b8 was faultless for 19k miles

They'll make your car stink of chips, but they're cheaper than four springs, and you never know, two bigger ladies might be an ambition of yours
Thanks for the offer, but I hate fat birds
Skinny arms and a nice pair of tits will do, if you can supply 4 of them I will accept the offer :bigblink:
I'll have a dig through my collection and see if I have any with small arms and heavy breasts, but I'm not sure I do
Fat ones, I have by the dozen. Don't knock them until you've tried them though :)
Plenty of fat ones in Swindon. Muscular arms and a small pair for me. And rotors!

Si'. Moira says "don't forget those few inches, they're important".
Don't know what she's on about personally.
