So V Power is 98 yes??Youngben wrote:How many tight arses do we have that run 95 then? Never run anything recognized as a performance car on anything less than 97 but i know people do. Part the package and running costs for me.
It's used to be 98 and is now 99.WilkinsonRS4 wrote:So V Power is 98 yes??Youngben wrote:How many tight arses do we have that run 95 then? Never run anything recognized as a performance car on anything less than 97 but i know people do. Part the package and running costs for me.
What's Saibsburys and Tesco RON then??
Mmm I didn't know that mate, so is V Power much better than Tescos and Saibsburys then?adsgreen wrote:It's used to be 98 and is now 99.WilkinsonRS4 wrote:So V Power is 98 yes??Youngben wrote:How many tight arses do we have that run 95 then? I suspect it might be due to the requirement to have a percentage of bio ethanol in them now.
To be honest, for our cars Ron is pointless - you need the Mon value as this is the resistance to knocking under high load and rpm
The thing is that running 95 on the RS4 actually INCREASES the cost - how come? 95, in the UK at least, has a higher sulphur content which causes more frequent pre-cat cleaning to take place - and since that's done by increasing the amount of fuel injected and adjusting the timing to make the exhaust gasses hotter it reduces the mpg by around 10% compared to using 98.Youngben wrote:How many tight arses do we have that run 95 then?
Hard to say - It used to be that vpower had higher mon rating (only 1 or 2 points) but with the new formula not so sure.WilkinsonRS4 wrote:

I found this too - the simple fuel switch improved the figures...WillRS wrote:recently i've been running the rs4 on Tesco Momentum as it was retarding the timing (when dynod at mrc) when running on what should have been a tank of V-Power
I got my RS4 from John Holland Sales in MeadowhallJohn Johnson wrote:I only go from mosborough into Sheffield ( meadowhell area ) and it's £30 in two days if I use it ... Not good lol
