It was all going so well until the Nankang tyres.....
They can be quickly replaced :)
Anyone that puts Nankang tyres on has skimped elsewhere also.

Just spoken to them, they have confirmed that they have carried out the work that he has mentioned in his for sale advert. They have also said that until they had the car in they had never seen it before but when it left them it was in good condition.

Could I be buying into a really problematic car or is everything that has been done just par for the course?

Is there anyone local to the car that could take a look at it for me to give me an honest opinion?

He's had the car back from MRC for 10 days. Let's discuss what could've happened since then to make him sell it...
My bet is there are some niggles to work through but he's lost the appetite to carry on. That said, 586PS on a stage 2 set up with a stage 3 tune is great and it's freshly done. There's just very little else to go on other than H&R coilovers are poo.
It's done 2,000 miles less than mine and I was expecting mine would be worth £8k in a quick sale - I'm thinking a high miler @ £15,995 is nuts.
Anyone else?

/EDIT is it running a full standard 'zoorst? Crazy HP numbers for that!

Ahhh, I see. It seems to have standard 'zoorst tips in the for sale pics.

128k miles and £16k ,AND spent £20k on it in last 6 months ?
Feedback for the seller is %100 though

for comparison , on PH
127k , saloon, 1 previous owner , claimed 571bhp , £8k

there's some nice cars for under £15 if that's what your looking for . What are you actually after ?, all out performance or a good standard car ?, what kind of budget are we talking.
have you had a 6 before ?

So avoid or pay MRC to look over the car? What niggles could you envisage?

So this (http://forum.rs246.com/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=108416) is overpriced too?

Hmmm....you do seem to be onto something there, those tips are certainly not " ceramic black tail pipes".

Makes you wonder if there are any other discrepancies in the description... :?

A forum car is prob your best bet as it will be known :bigblink: ...........haggling is always an option :assflash:

Any car that you look at, might be best given the once over by a specialist before you commit your self to see if there is anything that might come back to bite you( say she who brought the first one she saw!!)
950 nm torque!

Ohh running bridgestones because they are the best ;)

That ones a 'Plus' variant ( limited edition) , which hold money better than standard 6

This will be my first 6, actually my first Audi. It was between this and an E46 M3, the M3 lost due to less power and the rear chassis coming away from the car :biggrin3:

My previous car was a modified MKiv Supra, unfortunately they are getting on a bit and they are now affordable to Chavs - well the dogs are. I wanted a change, something that would hold it's value a better and have more modern comforts.

Price wise I'm unsure, it just needs to be mint, have a decent service history and ideally low miles. Modded is fine or stock just as long as it's been properly looked after as I am extremely OCD with my cars.

My main problem is my location, I'm in the Channel Islands and there is nothing locally, so it has to be a UK car then I have to factor in traveling costs (flights over and boat back) the registering the car here. This alone will add about 2K to the buying cost so this is why I need to be sure before buying.

Apart from the extra power, headlights and dark roof rails what is the difference between the plus and standard RS6?

Black roof rails are only a small portion of the black optic pack. They are also lower as standard
