Not only that but as you have a BT kit (I can tell that from your coding) there's a high probability that the BT will store a blocking fault code when you do the swap which you would need to get cleared with VCDS to get the BT kit working again.
+1 - I did have to do that too...

I have a 2010+ RNS-E plus the AMI installed in my glovebox - coupled with a Tune2Air WMA1000 Bluetooth Music Adaptor - I am in audio/connectivity Heaven! I've a 500G HD for all my music and a rock solid BT audio connection from my phone to the AMI for listening to internet radio over 3/4g on the move [or to stream audio from my iPhone playlist/offline spotify]
Installing this kit was definitely one of the best mods I've ever done and comes totally recommended!

Good luck in getting it sorted - you wont be disappointed.

Good thread with current vendor information. I am keen to do this as well.

Would somebody be so kind as to post a photo of an installed unit showing the gloss back screen surround and two chrome controls versus the original matt black screen surround and black controls? Just to see how it looks.

Thanks.

Manual-daniel - Mr Footlong installed this in his RS4 - here's a shot of that with the gloss black surround - hope it helps

Ahh...yes. Thanks very much for the photo. Looks great with the chrome button trim above. I've also got the TTRS wheel and the alu satin trim works well with everything.

Much appreciated, time to order!

Pleasure!

Yes, I have a silver RS4, brushed satin trim and the subtle silver knobs are picked out just nicely! Would send you a photo of mine, but it's still at MRC and pesky work today has got the better of me collecting :(

Good luck upgrading! :beerchug:

I've got one of those for the rare occasions when I use my iPhone for music instead of the 250GB Audi hard drive which has a copy of my entire music collection (so it also acts as my third backup).

The Tune2Air is a great piece of kit.

Got my RNS-E today!

The guy I bought it off put the black dials on for me and it came with the normal faceplate as well.

Got home from work at 9pm, had my dinner, and decided to get it in and tested.

Easy to get old un out and new un in, changed coding as I'd asked the guy to set it for AMI, but that hasn't arrived yet.

All working great and SDS all good.

Great service from the guy on ebay, couldn't have been more helpful.

AMI should be here tomorrow so that's a job for Thursday. Also ordered the 250GB Audi HDD, but lucky for me they sent me the 500GB one!!!
