Don't mention that anywhere near the B7 forum, you'll get your ass kicked from some sensitive soles Haha

I mentioned it once in a comment and ended up with about 4 million responses shutting me down
Ultimately, they all went sobbing off into their coked up 360bhp engines and clunking DRC :)

Which is quite funny as the b8's drc is designed to clunk ;)

Lets put it this way my b7 was fresh out of MRC after a proper stage 2 tune, my b8 would spank it's backside, it's a step up in all areas, FACT!!! :nodder:

B8 boys are growing in numbers now, so it's less of the 1 vs 50 I used to face :)

Hi All,

New forum member, having come to the Audi brand from Land Rover so a bit of a change - but am well familiar with software updates and the (supposed) benefits.

@Graeme4130
Do you know what software updates?

Thanks,

Nick

Ive done 35000km now in the b8 rs4, lovin it more for everyday that passes!
My audi technician says its actually better for the engine if its not totally full on the meter of oil in the audi on audi onboard cpu, beter actually if its on the lower half.
Also, i must say for those who never done the nordschleife, DO IT, the b8 really loves it down there! :beerchug:

I'd agree with this on the b7 too - every main dealer I have been too simply top up based on the documented specs which in theory is fine however I don't think you can drain it completely so it tends to overfill. This draws the oil into the intake system and would contribute greatly to any carbon build up - any design differences on the B8 to solve carbon would have no effect if oil was getting into the intake in this way.

This is what I always did on my b7 after my mechanic gave me the heads up on this
