oil level..... top up or change ?
oil level..... top up or change ?
ok just checked the oil level and its not too far from the minimal line so would you just buy so oil and top it up or go for a full oil change. The car has done just over 4450 mile since September.I understand that these and my past Audi do consume oil.

I'm buying a new house - a lightbulb has just blown
Seriously though - 1 litre in 5k on a new engine is pretty good

Hey John, hope you are getting on with the Daytona beastie okay. I do 5k a year and have mine serviced at Audi every two years plus an oil change every other year at TT Shop Bedford so it has fresh oil every 5kJohn@mk wrote:so thanks for the advise so far guys so do I go for the top up or the full change which would mean a trip to either MK Audi or a really good indie .

hope you are well and the beastie is all good so far( apart from the oil ),yes I will need to go to Audi for a fist service. went into MK Audi this morning as unhelpful as usual plus a poor chap with a not very well TT which he has only had for three months being sold four different reasons for his engine issue.I think I'll pop into VAGTECH and sound them out as they have always been very helpful in the past.
when is the next MK meet by the way ?
cheers.

That's good, they arrived safe and sound, really getting a feel for the car now, it's a step up from the b7 in my opinion, way better than some car reviews stateSilas wrote:

Re: oil level..... top up or change ?
most Audis I've had have got through a litre in the first 2-3k miles, it's pretty normal....just top it up or ask a dealer if you need reassurance, it used to be the norm to change the first oil in the first 5k or so but not so much now.
