Been offered the car next Saturday...

Post by N13LXC » Fri Jan 31, 2014 1:31 pm

Hi All,

I've been offered the RS4 in a week...i'm not overly fussed about the new plate as it'll be on a personal plate...

What do I do?

1. Say no and take it in March
2. Say yes and get it ASAP
3. Say Yes if they'll reduce my cash deposit/up the px value...

Help!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it's going on a private plate ,I'd say take it now !!!!

I guess it depends on how many miles you do in a month , as to whether the PX value will differ to a level worth starting to renegotiate ......

I'd rather get it there and get my hands on the RS

Yep, if your not worried about the new reg, then don't wait, get it ASAP and enjoy,
the only other thing to consider is to wait for better weather!!! could be a lot later than March though.

My opinion.
Personal plate feels a bit -90s, in a not so good way.
One reason not to get it now, weatherwise, nicer to take it out on summertires!

I'd be keen to take it now, but a 14 plate will always trade at more than a 63 plate when the time comes to move it on!

Personally I'd just get in, plate change isn't what it's used to. You're more likely to lose money on condition.

Thanks for your thoughts, still seems to be two camps here on the new reg debate!

I'm thinking if i can get something extra to sweeten the deal then I'll do it. If not i'll sit on my hands till the 1st...only 28 days anyway, how bad can it be! :bash:

Are you buying on finance or PCP?
If so I take it you will be trading it at the end of the deal? That being the case you will have a GFV for the car.
Therefore the resale value will make no difference to you.if you are buying it with your own real money wait till March.

Good point there...I like your thinking. I'm now waiting for the dealer to come back to me on when I can pick it up (and if he's managed t oget me £500 off for the "inconvenience") :bigblink:

Once that's sorted I'll be taking delivery as soon as I can...just need to find out where i'll get the rest of the deposit now!
