You'll want something more powerful after a week or two, DKs right just go for the R its a happy compromise .

Course you can! Teach her all about feathering the throttle etc! There's a mark 6 golf r used by obt driving school up here. I'll try find pics !

First car I drove after learning was the R32. Took a while getting used to it and a couple of near misses.

Something with less ponies is definitely optimal!

first car after passing is very different to whilst learning. As soon as I passed and was allowed to drive without an instructor in the car I floored it everywhere, luckily it was my sisters gutless 1.1 fiesta so I wasn't going anywhere fast (although I still did lose it going round a bend too fast). While I was learning to drive though I was nowhere near the red line so didn't really matter if the car was powerful or not. She hardly gonna lose it at the low revs you spend most of your time at whilst learning.

My second motive is to put some cash away and see if I can get an R8 next year.
