RS 51X CS,daytona avant
Re: RS 51X CS,daytona avant
Daz. Is it just the place you are using that can't do the embossing? Or have you been told that you won't be able to get it done at all?

Will the heated seats and airbags still work with the seats or have you opted for the CS without the side airbags?
I had the BMW Performance seats in my M3 and they are CS seats.

Have to say they were really comfortable and am thinking of getting a set for my C5, as you say though the height they sit at is an issue. The height adjustment is a pain too, there are two settings and you have to remove the seats and change where they are mounted on the frame to put them higher or lower. I had to get a separate BMW wiring loom to get the airbags and heated seats to work. If you didn't want to get the loom and didn't want the warning lights on the dash then you needed to get that coded out. Would be interested to know if they are plug and play in the C5 for the seats and airbags to continue to function.

OK pic not the best but you can just see the RS6 embossed in the leather.

They look great.
Do your CS have the side airbags fitted? If so, do they work and do the heated seats work?

No they don't have the airbags. They do have the heated pads in them but they aren't wired up at the present.

Re: RS 51X CS,daytona avant
The place im getting them done at cant emboss the rs6 logo. They can do the recaro but not the cs. No side airbags but im getting the heated element added and a loom made to fit to the original buttons
Re: RS 51X CS,daytona avant
Can't you get the centre sent away to be embossed somewhere else daz? Shame if you can't, makes a big difference to the look of the seat imo.

Re: RS 51X CS,daytona avant
I wasnt convinced as I would rather have the continuity from front to rear but they showed me examples of their stitched logos and you would need to be looking very hard and be very anal to mind. I will be and I am which is why im still not convinced....
Re: RS 51X CS,daytona avant
Is it difficult to get a loom made up so that the heated seat switch still works? Really want to get serious about putting these seats in but hate it when switches don't work so want to get a loom made up if I go ahead and do it.
