New Owner - daft question!

Post by Mr. H » Wed Nov 13, 2013 10:27 pm

Hi All - not long had my RS6 and enjoying it all the time. I have to say thanks for such a great forum - I read a load of stuff before bying the car and have been doing a load of reading since. Now for the daft question. I run my cars with winter tyres and have used wintrac xtreme the last few years on a few cars.
I know my car has had the Knobbly bit removed! So does anybody know if Wintrac Xtreme 255/35 r19 rs6 will fit the car Although I have tried to search the forum its not clear to me if they will suffer from rubbing ( even with the Knobbly bit removed) as they may be a little squarer on the tyre shoulders - does anybody run with these tyres on 19" rims? Thanks in advance guys.

Welcome and FON!

Virtually certain they are fine - Mart Williams used to run them on his IIRC (see http://forum.rs246.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... ac#p574469)

FON and welcome.

I hope they fit with no issuses as i'm looking for a set for mine too. I can't see them being bigger than the Asym2 sidewalls and these fit (only just) with elknobbo removed.

Now, pic's and write up required!
previous- Pug 205 gti, 306 gti, 309 gti Goodwood.
Audi S3, S4 V8 avant.
Porsche Macan Turbo.
Gone but NEVER forgotten - C5 RS6 Misano red avant.

Now - Empty garage

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there!

That’s great info guys - thanks for the links.

I will post up a few pics soon - a few minor things to sort out nothing too bad.

It’s a lot of car for the money - I have given up buying new cars - I'd rather run a few cars that I want and spend the money on keeping them on the road rather than the dreaded new car depreciation !

Cheers Mark
